\t\t<\/p>\n Artem Chigvintsev<\/strong><\/a> is reacting to estranged wife Nikki Garcia<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s claims against him.<\/p>\n The 42-year-old dancer\u2019s ex filed for a restraining order<\/a>, and it was granted, and she provided statements alleging actions against her that led to his arrest in early August<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a new filing, obtained by E! News<\/a><\/em>, Artem<\/strong> is disputing the claims that he was violent towards her, and alleges she was the one who got violent.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The former DWTS<\/em> pro also reportedly showed pictures of injuries on his neck, elbow and hand that came from her. <\/p>\n He says that when he took their son Matteo<\/strong> upstairs, it was to protect him from the situation that was escalated. Artem <\/strong>goes on to claim she barged into the room and began attacking him, which led to them grappling on the floor. <\/p>\n In his filing, Artem<\/strong> notes that he was the one to call 911<\/a>, claiming Nikki<\/strong> said, \u201cDo you understand how this is gonna go now Artem<\/strong>? News<\/em>. \u201cAlthough Nikki<\/strong> requested that the Napa District Attorney not file charges<\/a> against Artem <\/strong>as she did not want him to go to jail, he must still be held accountable for his actions, and Nikki<\/strong> and her son must be protected.
