\u2018The Real Slim Shady\u2019 rapper, 51, revealed the news he was going to be a grandfather in a music video released on Thursday (03.10.24) for his song \u2018Temporary\u2019, dedicated to his 28-year-old girl Hailie Jade.<\/p>\n
His video featured a montage of clips of the pair during their lives \u2013 including a moment when she presented her father with a blue jumper with \u2018Grandpa 1\u2019 written on the back, as well as a copy of her sonogram, which she later posted on Instagram alongside her husband Evan McClintock.<\/p>\n
Hailie has now revealed how she hid her pregnancy with the help of best friend Brittany Ednie on the \u2018Just a Little Shady\u2019 podcast.<\/p>\n
She said her pal \u201ccovered for\u201d her during a wedding they both attended \u201ca couple of weeks ago\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nBrittany said on the show: \u201cI need to also defend myself now that this is public knowledge \u2013 that you are pregnant \u2013 because at said wedding, people did not know that she was pregnant.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe added she was secretly drinking all of Hailie\u2019s alcoholic drinks at the nuptials so their friends didn\u2019t raise any suspicions about her possibly being pregnant.<\/p>\n
\nBrittany went on: \u201cSo she was, you know, grabbing a drink, not consuming the drink as a responsible parent does. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cWhenever people were turned around, she would hand me her drink, and I would chug so it looked as if she was continuously drinking throughout that night.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHailie added her friend had been \u201ctaking one for the team\u201d by doubling up on the drinks despite never being asked \u2013 saying: \u201cI\u2019ll defend myself, though, because I never really asked you to do it. It was like an unspoken thing with our eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHailie met her husband Evan in 2016 and he popped the question seven years later, with the pair walking down the aisle in May.<\/p>\n
\nEminem had Hailie in December 1995 with his ex Kim Scott, to whom he was married to twice before they split for good in 2006.<\/p>\n
\nHe also adopted Alaina, the daughter of Kim\u2019s twin sister, Dawn, and Stevie Mathers \u2013 who is Kim\u2019s child from another relationship \u2013 when they were younger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
