The country star responded, saying he&#8217;s \u201cnot the man they have painted me to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The claims come from a woman who worked for Brooks as a hairstylist and makeup artist starting in 2017, after working for his wife, <a href=\"https:\/\/socialitelife.com\/tag\/trisha-yearwood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trisha Yearwood<\/a>, since 1999. An anonymous \u201ccelebrity\u201d plaintiff tried to prevent an accuser from going public with sexual abuse allegations, calling it \u201congoing attempted extortion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brooks sent a statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1408174\/garth-brooks-speaks-out-on-rape-allegation-in-lawsuit\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1408174\/garth-brooks-speaks-out-on-rape-allegation-in-lawsuit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>E News!<\/em><\/a> late Thursday (Oct. 03, 2024).
