The 31-year-old supermodel, who has been linked to a string of partners since she split from her estranged ex-husband Sebastian Bear McClard last year, didn\u2019t name the man but said she was amazed he didn\u2019t \u201cget\u201d she still needed reassurance about her beauty despite her job.<\/p>\n
She told the LA Times: \u201cI said, \u2018What do you think of me?\u2019 And he was like, \u2018Are you serious? You\u2019re a famous model.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cI was like, \u2018Wow, you don\u2019t get it.\u2019 I need to know that you are specifically attracted to me.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeauty is totally subjective. I don\u2019t care how much it\u2019s validated by a standard.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHer LA Times profile said Emily\u2019s ex would \u201ctalk about the women he\u2019d dated in the past, commenting on how gorgeous they were\u201d, but \u201che\u2019d never said anything about the way Ratajkowski looked\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nEmily, who is a single mum to two-year-old son Sylvester, who she had with Sebastian recently said in a subscribers\u2019 question and answer session online one of her biggest turn-ons was men taking an interest in the art, books, films and music she was enjoying \u2013 and blasted one ex for not bothering to finish her essay collection, which tackles feminism, sexuality and the modern male\/female power dynamic.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI dated a guy for a minute, whose name will not be disclosed, who never made it through my book \u2013 through my own damn book.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe got halfway, and he was like, \u2018It\u2019s really good.\u2019 He kept saying he was a slow reader, but I was also like, \u2018Huh, ok \u2013 are you just not that interested in me?\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd by the way, it\u2019s really weird to have somebody reading your book, like the most personal things about you when you are going out with them.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019ve had a couple of dudes who have asked for recommendations, and I\u2019ve given them, and then don\u2019t actually follow up, so it\u2019s just this empty thing, and I definitely don\u2019t like that.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut I think in general I appreciate when men are asking me what I\u2019m interested in, and want to listen to the music I like, and want to know what I\u2019m into and thinking about and enjoying because a lot of I feel like what I am \u2013 your identity can really be reflected in your taste.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd a lot of the time, short stories and essays that I love are core to who I am and I feel like I\u2019ve learned a lot about other people based on their interpretation of writing. I\u2019ve been really impressed and really disappointed when I\u2019ve sent them a bit of writing and then I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, s**t, that\u2019s how you see the world? Damn it.\u2019<\/p>\n
