Kamie Crawford<\/strong><\/a> is ready to \u201cmove on\u201d from helping catch catfishes on the MTV docuseries.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter six years of living my absolute dream working on Catfish<\/i><\/a> \u2014 one of the most iconic shows in television history \u2014 it is with a heavy heart and much consideration that I have decided to move on to my next adventure,\u201d Kamie, 31, wrote in a lengthy Instagram<\/a> statement posted on Thursday, October 3.<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI am proud of the work we\u2019ve done and the impact I\u2019ve left and I am forever grateful to Nev [Schulman]<\/strong>, Critical Content and MTV for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and shot at a dream I\u2019ve been working towards since I was 19 years old.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kamie joined Catfish <\/i>in 2018 after OG host Max Joseph<\/strong> left the show. Max originally helmed the MTV series alongside Nev, 39, who remained on the project with Kamie. On Catfish<\/i>, the hosts work to help individuals discover whether their online partners are real or lying about their identities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I got an email in 2018 from an absolute stranger at Catfish<\/i>\u2019s production department asking if I wanted to guest cohost two episodes of one of my favorite shows of all time, I never would\u2019ve imagined the life, love, memories and worldwide support that it would\u2019ve awarded me,\u201d Kamie wrote on Thursday. \u201cI am so grateful for every single moment spent traveling the country, meeting so many of you and helping people find love.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cThe outpouring of love that I receive on a daily basis from Catfish fans around the world lets me know that I have done what I\u2019ve always intended on doing, which is to leave every room a little bit brighter, warmer and safer than when I entered.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kamie further thanked her supporters for \u201cwrapping [their] arms around\u201d her and accepting her into the Catfish<\/i> family.<\/p>\n

\u201cChange is hard but your acceptance and love made it so much easier to fill some already pretty big shoes,\u201d Kamie concluded on Thursday. \u201cI have so many new dreams now and although I\u2019m writing this with tears in my eyes \u2026 I am excited for what\u2019s to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

Catfish <\/i>has recently been on hiatus as Nev recovers<\/a> from a neck injury.<\/p>\n
