In the clip, Edwards discussed reading all of the books the character Connell Waldron (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/paul-mescal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Paul Mescal<\/strong><\/a>) read in the TV show <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/pictures\/normal-peoples-paul-mescal-daisy-edgar-jones-friendship-moments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Normal People<\/a>,<\/em> which was based on the <strong>Sally Rooney<\/strong> book of the same name.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt added so much texture to my reading experience of <em>Normal People,<\/em> because everything is in there so intentionally, which just made it so interesting,\u201d Edwards exclusively told <em>Us Weekly.<\/em> \u201cTo think, why did Sally Rooney choose for that book to be the one that Connell was reading at that particular time. So, she uses Irish poets like <strong>Frank O\u2019Hara<\/strong>\u00a0and she invokes classic books like <strong>Voltaire<\/strong>\u2018s <em>Candide<\/em>, but each of them gives you an insight into how Connell is feeling at that moment in time. So, from one literature student to another, it\u2019s kind of a dream.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Edwards has been the internet\u2019s go-to guy for reading recommendations ever since. Woman<\/em> by <strong>Eve Babitz<\/strong>, which is so good, and she captures like the energy of LA in the \u201860s,\u201d Edwards said. \u201cShe was just like such an It girl, and it\u2019s frivolous and silly and kind of audacious, in a way. Tons of former Bachelor and Bachelorette leads have written books over the years, including [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>A Book for \u2018Real Housewives\u2019 Fans<\/h3>\n<p>And last but not least, fans of <em>The Real Housewives<\/em> franchise will want to pick up a copy of <em>Blue Sisters<\/em> by <strong>Coco Mellors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has these amazing fight scenes where the characters think of the most heinous, evil, horrible things they could say to one another and say them anyway. And I think it\u2019s about that thing of the human experience in your head where you\u2019re like, \u2018Don\u2019t say it, don\u2019t say it, don\u2019t say, and then you do, and you just have to face percussions of having said something, you know is awful,\u201d Edwards continued. \u201cThat\u2019s what those characters do, and their sisters too, so they do really rip into each other in that way. I think that\u2019s what the housewives do.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Jack Edwards\u2019 Fall Book Recommendations<\/h3>\n<p>As for Edwards\u2019 most anticipated future release? It\u2019s <em>Intermezzo<\/em> by Rooney, which was released on September 24. I love <em>White Nights,<\/em>\u201d Edwards added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think something else that captures those really intense emotions, just like <em>White Nights<\/em> does, is a Turkish book which is called <em>Madonna in a Fur Coat<\/em> [by<strong> Sabahattin Ali<\/strong>], and it\u2019s all about unrequited love and intense emotions and what it is to be human,\u201d Edwards continued. \u201cI think that\u2019s what the autumn or the fall is for: being deep in your emotions and cozying up with a book while the rain is falling.
