First, it was Spotify<\/a>, then Verizon<\/a>, then PlayStation<\/a>, and now it\u2019s apparently Bank of America\u2019s turn to have an outage this week. Some customers reported problems accessing their bank accounts on Wednesday, with the balances showing $0 or \u201c\u2014-\u201d instead of what should be there. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSome mobile and online banking clients experienced an issue accessing their accounts and balance information earlier today,\u201d writes Bank of America media relations executive Matt Card in an email to The Verge<\/em>. \u201cThese technology issues\u00a0<\/strong>have been fully resolved.\u00a0We apologize for any inconvenience.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Reports spiked just before 1PM ET on Downdetector, with posts across X and Reddit <\/a>from people reporting that their account balances don\u2019t show anything (some mentioned that the amounts they owe, however, appear to be displaying accurately).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n We verified this afternoon that the bank\u2019s app was showing customers a notification that \u201cAccounts temporarily unavailable\u201d and that \u201cSome accounts and\/or balances are temporarily unavailable,\u201d as reported previously by CNN<\/a>. Some people have reported their accounts are working or intermittently gaining access to their information, and it\u2019s unclear how many people have been affected. In July, Bank of America said 58 million clients<\/a> use its \u201cdigital capabilities to help manage their financial lives\u201d and that they connected a record 23.4 billion times last year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
