Ellen DeGeneres<\/a>: For Your Approval\u2019 she is embracing getting older and has stopped cosmetic procedures on her face.<\/p>\nEllen said: \u201cI used to say that I didn\u2019t care what other people thought of me. I realise now, looking back, that I said that at the height of my popularity.<\/p>\n
\u201cHey, if I look older than when you saw me last it\u2019s because I\u2019m older than when you saw me last. And also I stopped doing Botox and filler.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI used to do Botox and filler back when I didn’t care what other people thought of me… such a waste of time to worry about what other think of us. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cJust a waste of energy. We\u2019re just guessing, we don\u2019t know. It\u2019s impossible to guess what people are thinking.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe also talked about her litany of health issues.<\/p>\n
\nEllen told how, after taking a bone density test, she discovered she had \u201cfull-on\u201d brittle bone disease osteoporosis.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cI don\u2019t even know how I’m standing up right now. I\u2019m like a human sandcastle. I could disintegrate in the shower. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s hard to be honest about ageing and seem cool.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI had excruciating pain one day and I thought I tore a ligament or something and I got an MRI and they said, \u2018No, it\u2019s just arthritis\u2019. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI said, \u2018How did I get that?\u2019 And he said, \u2018Oh it just happens at your age\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nEllen has also been diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder and Attention Deficit Disorder.<\/p>\n
\nShe added about the conditions: \u201cSo, I have ADD, I have OCD \u2013 I\u2019m losing my memory. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut I think I\u2019m well adjusted because I obsess on things, but I don’t have the attention span to stick with it, and I quickly forget what I was obsessing about in the first place. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cSo, it takes me all the way around to being well adjusted, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
