The Reagans will gather around the dinner table one last time when Blue Bloods<\/em><\/a> returns for the second half of season 14 \u2014 and the end of the series<\/a> \u2014 this month.<\/p>\n

Blue Bloods<\/em> premiered in 2010<\/a>, focusing on a cop family with former police commissioner Henry Reagan (Len Cariou<\/strong>) and his son, current NYPD commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck<\/strong><\/a>), at the helm.<\/p>\n

When the show began, Frank\u2019s son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg<\/strong><\/a>) was a detective and his youngest son, Jamie (Will Estes<\/strong>), decided to leave behind his law career to become a cop. (Their eldest brother, Joe, died in the line of duty.) Frank\u2019s daughter, Erin (Bridget Moynahan<\/strong><\/a>), isn\u2019t in the family business, but she does work with police as the assistant district attorney (ADA) for the city.<\/p>\n

CBS announced in November 2023 that Blue Bloods<\/em> was ending with a two-part season 14<\/a>. The first half of the episodes began in February, while the second batch will start this month.<\/p>\n

Where Did Part 1 of Season 14 Leave Off?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

During the May finale, Henry and Frank got into it over helping one of pop\u2019s friends, a widow, get her 9\/11 Victim Compensation Fund benefits. After Frank learned the widow\u2019s husband wasn\u2019t at Ground Zero, he told Henry he couldn\u2019t help, which resulted in Henry briefly leaving their shared home. By the family\u2019s Sunday night dinner, Henry and Frank were back under the same roof and back on good terms.<\/p>\n

Jamie and his wife, Eddie Janko-Reagan (Vanessa Ray<\/strong><\/a>), went undercover at a rehab facility on what happened to be their fifth wedding anniversary \u2014 and yes, they cracked the case. Even though they missed their planned celebration, Henry insisted they renew their vows at the dinner table, which was a sweet moment for Jamko fans.<\/p>\n

Who Is Returning? <\/strong><\/h3>\n

In addition to Selleck, Wahlberg, Estes, Cariou and Moynahan, fans will see Ray return as Eddie for the second half of the final season. Danny\u2019s partner, Detective Maria Baez (Maris Ramirez<\/strong>), as well as Frank\u2019s team at 1 Police Headquarters (or 1PP as they call it), Abigail Baker (Abigail Hawk<\/strong>), Garrett Moore (Gregory Jbara<\/strong>) and Sid Gormley (Robert Clohessy<\/strong>), will all be back.<\/p>\n

What Has Tom Selleck Said About the Cancellation?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cI will continue to think that CBS will come to their senses,\u201d Selleck said during an interview with CBS News<\/em><\/a> on May 5. \u201cWe\u2019re the third highest scripted show of all of broadcast. We\u2019re winning the night. All the cast wants to come back. And I can tell you this, we aren\u2019t sliding off down a cliff. We\u2019re doing a good show and still holding our place.\u201d<\/p>\n

Filming Wrapped This Summer<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Wahlberg documented his final day on set<\/a> via Instagram in June. \u201cLast day of Blue Bloods<\/em> \u2b07\ufe0f Not sure I have the words to describe how I feel about today, or the last 14 years on this special Blue Bloods<\/em> journey,\u201d he captioned the post. \u201cBut I do know how incredibly thankful I am for every moment of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He gushed over the journey, adding, \u201cTo the cast, the crew, the guest cast, every background actor, writer, producer and every member of every single dept \u2014 thank you. To the people of New York, in every neighborhood and borough, thank you for always showing your love. To the NYPD, thank you for your support and sacrifice, I hope we did you proud.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wahlberg concluded by praising \u201cthe fans of this show,\u201d adding, \u201cWe don\u2019t make it 14 days (never mind 14 years) without you! Your love and support for this show has been one of the great blessings of my life. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Frank Isn\u2019t Retiring<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cI\u2019m pretty sure that Frank would stay in his job until the series ended,\u201d showrunner Kevin Wade<\/strong> told TV Insider<\/em><\/a> in August, noting, \u201cWe didn\u2019t really pursue that avenue because the show is built on him being the police commissioner of New York City. So to take a detour during the last mile, if this is the last mile, I don\u2019t know what he would be doing down at the hardware store or having coffee with old buddies during the day. I always have to look at stuff that generates stories. Police Commissioner of New York generates stories. He\u2019s the CEO of 35,000 cops.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Series Finale Will Feature Family Dinner<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s some nice revelations in that last episode of season 14 that wrap up at that family dinner,\u201d Moynahan told Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> in September. \u201cFor us to go out on such a special family dinner on our last episode, I think will resonate with the fans. Fans will really get a kick out of some of \u2019em. And then there might be a surprise that isn\u2019t so hopeful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Will All the Reagan Cousins Make a Cameo?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Showrunner Wade confirmed to TVLine<\/em><\/a> in October that Danny\u2019s kids, Sean (Andrew Terraciano<\/strong>) and Jack (Tony Terraciano<\/strong>), will both be featured during the backend of season 14. (Sean has been seen in recent episodes, but Jack went off to college and hasn\u2019t been back as often.)<\/p>\n

Erin\u2019s daughter, Nicky (Sami Gayle<\/strong>), and the late Joe Reagan\u2019s son, Joe Hill (Will Hochman<\/strong>), will also be present at some point this season.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoe Hill is back and integral,\u201d Wade said, confirming, \u201cNicky Reagan-Boyle and both of the boys\u201d will be back. He hinted that the question of whether Joe will finally meet \u2014 and eat alongside \u2014 all his cousins during a family dinner \u201cwill be answered in the final episode.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mira Sorvino and Debi Mazar Join the Cast<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mazar will make her Blue Bloods<\/em> debut during the October 18 episode as Queens DA Evaline Romano. She is described as \u201ca no-nonsense prosecutor who\u2019s investigating ADA Erin Reagan for alleged misconduct concerning a jury member in an important gang trial,\u201d according to TV Insider<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sorvino won\u2019t make her cameo until the November 1 episode, playing new Fire Commissioner Veronica Radley. She will butt heads with Mayor Peter Chase (Dylan Walsh<\/strong>) and Frank when he tries to be the mediator between the pair.<\/p>\n
