Seven years after Daniel Day-Lewis<\/a> said he was done with acting, he’s making a surprising comeback. The Oscar winner is set to star in his son Ronan Day-Lewis<\/a>\u2018 first movie as a director, called Anemone<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n Focus Features and Plan B, the companies behind the film, shared the news on Tuesday. They seem pretty excited about it.<\/p>\n \u201cWe’re thrilled to work with Ronan Day-Lewis on his first feature film, with Daniel Day-Lewis as his creative partner,\u201d said Peter Kujawsk<\/strong>i from Focus. \u201cThey’ve written a really special script.\u201d<\/p>\n Daniel Day-Lewis isn’t just acting in Anemone<\/em> \u2013 he also helped write it with his son. He’ll be sharing the screen with Sean Bean<\/strong> from Game of Thrones<\/em> and Samantha Morton<\/strong> from The Whale<\/em>.<\/p>\n The movie is about relationships between fathers, sons, brothers, and family bonds. It sounds like it could hit close to home for the Day-Lewis family.<\/p>\n Ronan Day-Lewis, who’s 26, has mostly been focusing on painting until now. It’s interesting to see him step into filmmaking.<\/p>\n His dad, Daniel, has won three Oscars for There Will Be Blood<\/em>, Lincoln<\/em>, and Phantom Thread<\/em>.
