Jeff <\/strong>revealed that there was a time he was about to leave.<\/p>\nHead inside to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nJeff <\/strong>revealed that during season 12 of the show, Survivor: Panama<\/em>, he wasn\u2019t sure if he\u2019d stay on. In season 16, his contract was up as well, and on top of that, he was making considerably less than scripted stars pulling in smaller ratings on the network.<\/p>\nHe stayed on though, and since then, he\u2019s gradually gained more control behind-the-scenes working his way to executive producer.<\/p>\n
Speaking with the outlet, Jeff <\/strong>revealed that the pandemic was a blessing in disguise for him in a way, helping him really think out his future with the franchise.<\/p>\n\u201cThe Covid break was a great Survivor <\/em>reset for me,\u201d he shared. \u201cComing on the heels of Winners at War, which I loved, I was more tired than I realized. When we had to postpone our shoot, it gave me a chance to step back and once again reflect on all the things I absolutely love about this show.\u201d<\/p>\nSo, is Jeff <\/strong>still thinking about leaving the show as host? He doesn\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n\u201cIt\u2019s impossible to describe what Survivor <\/em>represents to me. Impossible. It goes beyond creative expression or professional recognition. It\u2019s much deeper.\u201d<\/p>\nJeff <\/strong>added, \u201cIt\u2019s right in line with the ideas I try to impress on our players. It\u2019s about pushing myself further than I think I can go, about trying to stay in the moment and adapt to my surroundings, about being a good \u2018tribe member,\u2019 about being open to new ideas and new people.
