The \u2018Private Benjamin\u2019 actress, 78, has never married \u2018Escape From New York\u2019 actor Kurt, 73, but the pair have been together since 1983 and have 28-year-old son Wyatt.<\/p>\n
Goldie has now told E! about the key to their long romance: \u201cYou have to have good sex.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause sex is something that connects you and creates more belonging. \u201cPeople who have healthy sexual relationships usually last a lot longer.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not just because of the act, it\u2019s because of the warmth and the intimacy that it creates.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBut Goldie stressed intimacy was not enough on its own to keep a relationship alive in the long-term.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cYou have to be nice to each other upon occasion.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nGoldie also admitted couples don\u2019t always agree, adding: \u201cYou know, you\u2019re not the same person. You don\u2019t think the same way oftentimes. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd you have to accept that, but you have to measure, \u2018Are we having fun, or is this something we want to do? Do we have laughs together? Do we share certain things?\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou don\u2019t have to share everything.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nGoldie also advised people to let go of unrealistic views of relationships, adding: \u201cWe have a lot of expectation, I think, around relationships, but you have to like the person. That\u2019s very important.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKurt told E! about love: \u201cMost people that have been together for a long time, I think, share one thing in common. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd that is that after that many years together, you will have experienced just about everything there is to experience together and understand all the ups and downs and what it means.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added about his and Goldie\u2019s relationship: \u201cI just love the fact that we met and we still doing it. We still like being together.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAlong with Wyatt, mother-of-three Goldie Hawn has actor children Oliver Hudson, 48, and Kate Hudson, 45, with her 74-year-old musician ex-husband Bill Hudson.<\/p>\n
\nFather-of-two Kurt also has son Boston Russell, 44, with his actress ex-wife Season Hubley, 73, to whom he was married to from 1979 to 1983.<\/p>\n
\nGoldie and Kurt met when she was 21 and he was 16, and later met again before getting together.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
