Rachel Lindsay<\/strong><\/a> will soon be a bachelorette again, but the Bachelorette<\/em> alum isn\u2019t prioritizing dating amid her divorce from Bryan Abasolo<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cHonestly, it\u2019s not a focus right now,\u201d the attorney, 39, told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Sunday, September 29. \u201cI\u2019m just trying to get through it. Then, get at me.\u201d<\/p>\n Rachel also shared how she\u2019s healing from her breakup, which began in January when Bryan, 43, filed for divorce<\/a> after four years of marriage. The pair fell in love on The Bachelorette<\/em> season 13 in 2017 and tied the knot two years later.<\/p>\n \u201cFriends [and] family keep me empowered,\u201d the reality TV star continued. \u201cI saw this quote the other day about romanticizing life and it was just learning about loving the simple things, whether it\u2019s going on a walk, whether it\u2019s just being thankful for the air that we breathe [or] whether it\u2019s just like laughing with a friend.\u201d<\/p>\n Rachel concluded, \u201cI\u2019m really holding onto those moments, because they give me life.\u201d<\/p>\n Though dating isn\u2019t at the top of her to-do list right now, Rachel previously shared that she was \u201copen\u201d to meeting someone new<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s weird because I am months out from the separation \u2014 we are past it. Now I\u2019m in a place where I don\u2019t necessarily want to get into the details of it, but I want to talk about the healing process, because it\u2019s very real,\u201d she said during a July 3 appearance on Scott Evans<\/strong>\u2019 YouTube channel. \u201cAnd I\u2019m in this weird space where I am still in my 30s, I am divorcing and I don\u2019t have kids. [But] I want kids and I want to date.\u201d<\/p>\n The podcaster revealed that she was trying to fight off her \u201cbroken wing syndrome,\u201d where she \u201cdates guys that I see potential in.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI see [that] they are a good person, but maybe they need a little guidance or a little help. Rather than dating the person who is already there,\u201d Rachel continued. Instead, she wants to meet someone who is \u201cstable and secure.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI can no longer date for potential. I have to date somebody who knows who they are, knows what they want, is secure in who they are and are not intimidated,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n \u201cI would have to be swept off my feet to really be like, \u2018Oh, he\u2019s The One.\u2019 I\u2019m trying to have fun and have a roster,\u201d Rachel explained, noting that she wants to date someone who is between 45 and 55 years old with some \u201cexceptions to the rule.\u201d She\u2019s also not worried so much about \u201cphysical\u201d attributions.<\/p>\n \u201cI do want you to be loyal, have a personality, adventurous, charming and maybe even a little corny,\u201d she added. \u201cI want them to be ambitious but also very understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n Bryan cited \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d as the reason for his split from Rachel when he filed divorce paperwork in Los Angeles on January 2, Life & Style<\/em> confirmed at the time. He listed their date of separation as December 31, 2023, and requested spousal support<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew,\u201d the chiropractor wrote on Instagram after the filing. \u201cMy parents have been married forever, and I\u2019m a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go.
