Some Tesla Cybertruck owners are starting to get Full Self-Driving (FSD) access on their vehicles. The company\u2019s polarizing electric pickup truck has lacked the driver-assistance software feature since its launch in November 2023. Now, members of the Cybertruck Owners Club<\/a> (as reported by Electrek<\/em><\/a>) are reporting that the update has been installed on their vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Tesla had promised that FSD would come to the Cybertruck in September<\/a>, after the launch of the Autopark feature \u2014 and with today\u2019s news, it would appear that it just hit that deadline. It\u2019s the latest version of FSD (12.5.5), and to start, it\u2019s coming to Cybertrucks set up for the early access program. The update includes a promised vision-based attention monitoring system for drivers who are wearing sunglasses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Whole Mars Catalog, a Tesla fan account on X, posted over 20 minutes of footage<\/a> testing the new update in a Cybertruck, and it mainly operated as it does in other Teslas. At about the six-minute, 20-second mark in the video, the driver needed to intervene when the Cybertruck almost drove into a median after making an automatic left turn at an intersection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n FSD v12 is supposed to feature \u201cend-to-end neural nets\u201d that use only AI and cameras<\/a>, without relying on any additional sensors. A more robust v13 FSD release for Tesla\u2019s vehicles is planned for October.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
