Following Titanic\u2019s success, stars such as Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio continued to find success in the industry. The film, which was released in 1997, was inspired by the historical sinking of the RMS Titanic. The shipwreck was explored against the backdrop of a forbidden romance between Jack (DiCaprio) and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s terrible to admit these things \u2026 Leo is, I\u2019m afraid, kneeling down on the bottom of the tank,\u201d she revealed. \u201cI shouldn\u2019t be saying any of these things. [Director] <strong>James Cameron<\/strong>\u2019s gonna be ringing me like, \u2018Why are you telling them all that?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Winslet continued: \u201cThe thing that was amazing about the edges of the tank was that it was an infinity tank, so there was constant water rushing, and you could hear the constant sound of water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, the sound of moving water was so powerful that Winslet said the dialogue in the last 20 or so minutes of the film was re-recorded in a studio, including Rose yelling, \u201cJack! His hand ends up being frozen onto Rose\u2019s as she safely floats on a door in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean before being spotted by a lifeboat.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, many have questioned whether Jack could have fit on the door alongside Rose, ultimately giving fans the happy ending they so craved.<\/p>\n<p>During the press tour for <em>Once Upon a Time\u2026 in Hollywood<\/em> in 2019, DiCaprio stated \u201cno comment\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4ELyPdsxsCg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">when asked for his thoughts<\/a>. His costars <strong>Brad Pitt<\/strong> and <strong>Margot Robbie<\/strong>, however, believed Rose could\u2019ve made some room.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t f\u2014ing know,\u201d Winslet said when asked about her own take on the controversial scene in a previous interview with Horowitz in 2022. \u201cLook, all I can tell you is, I do have a decent understanding of water and how it behaves. If you put two adults on a stand-up paddleboard, it becomes immediately, extremely unstable. That is for sure,.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Winslet added: \u201cI have to be honest: I actually don\u2019t believe that we would have survived if we had both gotten on that door. I think he would have fit, but it would have tipped and it would not have been a sustainable idea\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She concluded, \u201cYes, he could have fit on that door. But it would not have stayed afloat.
