Anna Delvey<\/strong><\/a> doesn\u2019t regret saying that she will take \u201cnothing\u201d from being on Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a>. After making the viral comment following her elimination from the show on September 24, the fake heiress stood by her stance<\/a> on the Saturday, September 28, episode of Tori Spelling\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cmisSPELLING\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n \u201cThat was the truth<\/a>,\u201d Anna, 33, told Tori, 51, who was also eliminated during week 2 of season 33. She also expressed her frustration with the show for eliminating her over other dancers she felt were weaker, like Eric Roberts<\/strong> and Reginald VelJohnson.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt is what it is and it\u2019s fine,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd I never had high expectations on the show for myself. It just seems like \u2026 it seems like it\u2019s been mostly a negative experience, at least for me, than it was a positive one.\u201d<\/p>\n After it was announced that Anna was one of the eliminated contestants, host Julianne Hough<\/strong> asked her what she would take away from her experience on the competition show. Anna simply replied, \u201cNothing,\u201d and received major backlash<\/a> online for her negative reaction.<\/p>\n During the podcast interview, she added, \u201c[They] told me what I\u2019m supposed to do. I tried to do it. And then I was still rejected. And I\u2019m taking away nothing. This is what I\u2019m taking away from it \u2013 because [their] advice was worthless.\u201d Anna and Tori were the first two celebrities eliminated from the show this season.<\/p>\n \u201cThe advice [they gave] did not pay off for me, even though I tried to follow it,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd this is how I felt. I know people were trying to interpret my answer in different ways, but no, not really. I really did not take away much from this experience.\u201d<\/p>\n DWTS<\/em> eliminations are based on a combination of judges scores and viewer votes, so sometimes dancers who score lower, but are fan favorites, last longer in the competition. Anna admitted that she found it \u201ca little bit unbelievable\u201d that she was sent home before some of the other stars.<\/p>\n \u201cI felt like, well, they\u2019re building me up,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s like, oh, well, \u2018Only if you smile more, only if you do, like, x, y, z, it\u2019s going to be so much better for you.\u2019 And I felt like they put so much effort into trying to get me on the show [and], like, make me feel comfortable just to \u2026 eliminate me this early.\u201d<\/p>\n However, she did acknowledge the show\u2019s producers and fellow cast members for defending her amid backlash from the public about her casting. \u201cI think I had to be on the defensive, especially after all the backlash that I received being cast on the show,\u201d the con artist said. \u201cEven though the producers [tried] to defend me. And I think everyone on the cast was generally very nice to me. But in the end \u2026 I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n
