Two days after Anna Delvey<\/b><\/a> was eliminated from <\/span>Dancing With the Stars<\/span><\/i><\/a>, she poked fun at her controversial exit while thanking her supporters.<\/p>\n \u201cGrateful for all my amazing supporters who are smart enough to recognize and appreciate humor,\u201d Anna, 33, captioned a selfie posted via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, September 26. \u201cObsessed with all your DMs and posts. Love and thanks for nothing!\u201d<\/p>\n After she and partner Ezra Sosa<\/strong> were eliminated during the Tuesday, September 24, episode, host Julianne Hough<\/strong> asked Anna what she would take away from the experience. \u201cNothing,\u201d the Russia native bluntly responded.<\/p>\n Shortly after the episode aired, many fans took to social media to slam Anna for her attitude<\/a>. \u201cShe\u2019s horrific. That\u2019s a \u2018let\u2019s remake her image\u2019 project that was doomed to fail,\u201d one person wrote via X. Another social media user chimed in, \u201cShe should have never been on the show good riddance.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, many members of the DWTS<\/em> cast had mixed feelings about the comment. While Julianne, 36, said Anna\u2019s exit was \u201ciconic,\u201d<\/span><\/a> judge <\/span>Carrie Ann Inaba <\/b>slammed the con artist<\/span><\/a> for her behavior.<\/p>\n \u201cThat was dismissive not only of the opportunity she was given, of her wonderful and supportive partner Ezra in his debut season, but also of all of us who work on the show \u2014 from the dancers to behind the scenes to the creative team,\u201d Carrie Ann, 56, told Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> on Wednesday, September 25.<\/p>\n The longtime judge added that the cast and crew \u201cput in the effort to give her a fair opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut I don\u2019t think she could see that and it\u2019s a shame,\u201d Carrie Ann concluded. \u201cA little gratitude could have changed the narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Ezra, 23, had nothing but lovely things to say about Anna<\/a> following their elimination.<\/p>\n \u201cI want to thank you for dancing with me and for opening up. You allowed me to see a side of you that not many have, and I\u2019m grateful for that,\u201d he wrote about his partner in a lengthy Instagram post. \u201cI truly hope that one day, America gets to meet that side of you too. They will love her just as much as I do. Wishing you the best and can\u2019t wait to hangout and make TikTok\u2019s soon.\u201d<\/p>\n Anna\u2019s early elimination likely didn\u2019t shock viewers, as many fans were vocal about their beliefs that she shouldn\u2019t have been given a platform. The general public first learned about Anna in 2019 when she was arrested for posing as a German socialite while scamming the wealthy out of their money. Anna was sentenced to serve between four to 12 years in prison. However, she was released early from prison in February 2021 for good behavior.<\/p>\n She is currently under house arrest as she fights against deportation. One of the conditions is that she has to wear an ankle monitor, which Anna flaunted during her brief time on the competition show<\/a>.<\/p>\n Anna even made sure to accessorize her ankle monitor so that it matched her outfit while dancing. \u201cWell, we collaborated with the costume department.
