Keith Urban<\/strong><\/a> is taking a trip down memory lane while recalling the time he posed for a Playgirl<\/em> spread over two decades ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a guy at my record company who was like, \u2018Hey, you know, we can do this article in Playgirl<\/em>, and they\u2019ll do a big, long, nice piece on the record,\u2019 and I was like, \u2018Great,\u2019 and then [he said], \u2018We\u2019ll go do a photoshoot too,\u2019\u201d Urban, 56, explained during the Thursday, September 26, episode of Rob Lowe<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cLiterally! With Rob Lowe\u201d<\/a> podcast. \u201cI was like, \u2018Oh, OK.\u2019 Luckily, I play guitar and not harmonica.\u201d<\/p>\n

Urban joked that he was \u201capparently willing to do anything to get going\u201d early on in his career.<\/p>\n

When it came to Playgirl<\/em>, Urban claimed that he \u201cdidn\u2019t know there was a such a thing,\u201d prompting the Parks and Recreation<\/em><\/a> alum, 60, to reply, \u201cHang on now, Mr. Urban. I know you\u2019re from Australia and things are different there.\u201d Urban clarified that he knew about Playboy<\/em>, but didn\u2019t know about the magazine\u2019s counterpart. \u201cEqual titillation,\u201d Lowe quipped.<\/p>\n

Back in 2002, Urban posed nearly naked, save a thong, for Playgirl, with his guitar discreetly positioned. During an appearance on The Tonight Show<\/em> in 2013, then-host Jay Leno<\/strong> dug into the archives and found the spicy photos from Urban\u2019s shoot. \u201cThat falls into the \u2018What the Hell was I thinking\u2019 category,\u201d Urban said at the time, per Huffpost<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since then, Urban\u2019s career and personal life has continued to make headlines. In 2006, Urban wed his wife, Nicole Kidman<\/strong>. The pair welcomed their first daughter<\/a>, Sunday, in July 2008 and their second daughter, Faith, was born via gestational surrogate in December 2010. (Kidman, 57, also shares daughter Bella and son Connor with ex-husband Tom Cruise<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n
