In 2004, it won him a Grammy in the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance category. <\/p>\n<p>A fan-favorite part of the song is the outro, where <strong>Justin<\/strong> seemingly showed off his impressive falsetto, hitting very high notes while repeating the line, \u201ccry me, cry me.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>However, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/marsha-ambrosius\/\" title=\"Marsha Ambrosius\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Marsha Ambrosius<\/strong><\/a>, that\u2019s actually her on the track. <\/p>\n<p><strong class=\"hidearticle\"><em>Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><span id=\"more-2056176\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marsha<\/strong>, who is a Grammy nominated singer and songwriter, is credited on the song as a background vocalist.  <\/p>\n<p>During a recent interview on The TERRELL Show, she revisited that part of the song, proclaiming that she was \u201cthe barbecue.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>What does that even mean? She explained: \u201cApparently, according to Twitter, that was, \u2018Oh, did you hear that falsetto? He can absolutely come to the barbecue.\u2019 But years later, they will find out that that part was actually me,\u201d <strong>Marsha<\/strong> said. \u201cAnd this is not to shade the rest of the song. <strong>Justin Timberlake<\/strong> can\u2026 He\u2019s from Memphis. He can still come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She recalled people on Twitter freaking out to realize that \u201cshe did the barbecue part.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was barbecue sauce that I brought,\u201d she added, after singing another part of the song during the interview.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marsha<\/strong> noted that she \u201cdid not have a physical Grammy\u201d herself, saying, \u201cI kind of want one.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Back in 2014, <strong>Marsha<\/strong> also spoke about recording the song with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/timbaland\/\" title=\"Timbaland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Timbaland<\/strong><\/a> during an interview with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment\/music\/posts\/la-et-ms-marsha-ambrosius-breaks-down-her-biggest-hits-20140627-story.html\" onclick=\"getOutboundLink(&#039;https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment\/music\/posts\/la-et-ms-marsha-ambrosius-breaks-down-her-biggest-hits-20140627-story.html&#039;); return false;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Angeles Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI went into the booth, matched my vocal with <strong>Justin<\/strong>\u2019s and did it a couple of times to get the feel, which is why barely anyone knows I\u2019m on the song because we sound the same. I sang that \u2018You don\u2019t have to say, what you did\u2019 [line], did the outro. I was playing when I did it and <strong>Timbaland <\/strong>kept it. I knew it was a great song in the studio.
