Out of sight, out of mind. Jennifer Garner<\/strong> <\/a>revealed she doesn\u2019t look for Ben Affleck<\/strong><\/a> memes online.<\/p>\n \u201cI really work hard not to see either of us in the press,\u201d the Last Thing He Told Me<\/em> star, 50, told Australian magazine Stellar<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Saturday, April 8. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t make me feel good, even if it\u2019s something nice about one of us.\u201d<\/p>\n Affleck, also 50, and Garner were married in 2005 and share three children: Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11. They split in 2015 and finalized their divorce in 2018.<\/p>\n Though they\u2019re both A-listers, the Alias<\/em> alum explained that she doesn\u2019t like to think about her and her ex as public figures. \u201cI just try to forget that I\u2019m out there in any way, and the same with anyone I love. I don\u2019t need to see anyone in my family made into a meme<\/a>,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n When asked if she\u2019d seen any of the memes about the Argo<\/em> director \u2014 from Sad Ben to the Bored Ben<\/a> to Running on Dunkin\u2019 Ben<\/a> \u2014 Garner confirmed that she wasn\u2019t familiar. She quipped, \u201cAlthough I\u2019m sure he\u2019s quite meme-worthy, yes!\u201d<\/p>\n For his part, Affleck recently opened up about how difficult it is to see his words misunderstood publicly.<\/p>\n \u201cI had a really painful experience where I did an interview where I was really vulnerable and the entire pickup was something that was not only not right, it was actually the opposite of what I meant,\u201d the Gone Girl<\/em> star told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> in a cover story last month.<\/p>\n Affleck recalled a December 2021 interview<\/a> with Howard Stern<\/strong> <\/a>where he spoke candidly about his struggles with addiction<\/a> and his divorce from Garner. The Good Will Hunting<\/em> star explained that there was a misconception \u201cthat I was blaming [Jennifer] for my drinking.\u201d<\/p>\n He set the record straight while promoting his film Air<\/em>, adding: \u201cTo be clear, my behavior is my responsibility entirely. The point that I was trying to make was a sad one. Anyone who\u2019s been through divorce makes that calculus of, \u2018How much do we try?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The Oscar winner continued, \u201cI was trying to say, \u2018Hey, look, I was drinking too much, and the less happy you become, whether it\u2019s your job, your marriage, it\u2019s just that as your life becomes more difficult, if you\u2019re doing things to fill a hole that aren\u2019t healthy, you\u2019re going to start doing more of those things.\u2019 I think I was pretty articulate about that,\u201d he said. \u201cIt didn\u2019t matter how many times I said, \u2018I do not feel this way. I\u2019m telling you, I don\u2019t blame my ex-wife for my alcoholism.\u2019 So, yeah. It\u2019s hard.\u201d<\/p>\n Since their split, Garner has been dating businessman John Miller <\/strong><\/a>on and off since 2018.
