Halsey suffered a ‘very scary’ seizure<\/p>\n
\nThe 29-year-old singer shared a video of herself in a hospital bed with her fiance Avon Jogia by her side as she opened up about her condition.<\/p>\n
\nAlongside the clip on Instagram, she quipped: “Happy Late Bi Visibility Day.<\/p>\n
\n“This year I\u2019m celebrating by dying with a man by my side (for legal reasons that\u2019s a joke).\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe ‘Lucky’ singer later responded to fans asking more about her health scare on X, formerly Twitter, as one person wondered if her hospitalisation was due to a chronic health issue.<\/p>\n
\nHalsey – who has been candid about her struggles with endometriosis and other conditions – wrote: “\u201cI had a seizure! Very scary! Don\u2019t recommend it!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnd she reassured another follower that she is safely back at home now.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “I\u2019m home from the hospital now after a few days, so a win is a win!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nOver the summer, she opened up about her health battles, which has seen her get “sick very often”, and lose “a lot of weight”.<\/p>\n
\nLast month, she told the ‘SheMD’ podcast: “I have lupus and sometimes with Lupus there\u2019s other complications.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI announced a couple years ago that I had Sjogren Syndrome which is really often comorbid \u2014 meaning going alongside of \u2014 Lupus.<\/p>\n
\n“Because Lupus is an autoimmune condition, sometimes it can supress your immune system to the point that you develop a T cell disorder.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHalsey – who has three-year-old Ender with screenwriter Alev Aydin – recently admitted she was “terrified” after becoming ill shortly after giving birth.<\/p>\n
\nShe told The Hollywood Reporter: “I was in that in-between space, waiting for answers from doctors for months of like, you know, not only could I be not in a position where I get to be a musician anymore, but I don\u2019t even know now if I\u2019m going to get to be anymore. And that was terrifying.<\/p>\n
\n“Kind of like the greatest thing in the world ever happened to me [becoming a mom]. And then all of a sudden, a really scary thing happened to me.<\/p>\n
\n“And then I knew that I had to start writing because I knew that that was going to help me process what was going on.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
