Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> pro Val Chmerkovskiy<\/strong><\/a> is weighing in on brother Maks Chmerkovskiy<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s recent comments about Anna Delvey<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has his opinion,\u201d Val, 38, told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively following the DWTS<\/em> live show on Tuesday, September 24. \u201cWhether I share his opinion or not, that\u2019s not my quote, and that\u2019s not my position to talk about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Val spoke highly of Anna and her partner, Ezra Sosa<\/strong>, who were eliminated from the competition<\/a> alongside Tori Spelling<\/strong> and Pasha Pashkov<\/strong> during DWTS<\/em> \u201cOscars Night\u201d on Tuesday.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, shout-out to Ezra, her pro, who did an amazing job,\u201d Val continued. \u201cI think she worked hard, and she did well \u2014 and that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tEver since its debut, Dancing With the Stars has made headlines \u2014 sometimes for its eyebrow-raising casting. One of the most controversial decisions by ABC came ahead of season 28 in summer 2019 when Sean Spicer was announced as part of the cast. At the time, many celebrities reacted to the news about the former [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While Val noted that Anna\u2019s past has \u201cnothing to do with her presently doing Dancing With the Stars<\/em>\u201d he did acknowledge his brother\u2019s side. \u201cI also understand where he\u2019s coming from,\u201d the professional dancer concluded.<\/p>\n

Anna\u2019s past is in reference to her criminal history<\/a>. The \u201cFake Heiress,\u201d as she\u2019s come to be known in the public eye, was sentenced to 12 years in prison following a 2019 conviction of one count of attempted grand larceny, three counts of grand larceny and four counts of theft. She was released on parole in 2021 and will serve out the rest of her sentence on house arrest.<\/p>\n

Maks, 44, had a lot of thoughts<\/a> about her DWTS<\/em> casting while appearing on the \u201cTMZ Podcast\u201d earlier this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can see both sides. I can also be on the production side, and I can be on the viewer side and understand it all,\u201d he said. \u201cBut if you want an ankle [bracelet] and sort of this, \u2018Damn, this is going to draw attention,\u2019 and the scandalousness of it all \u2013 I mean, there\u2019s so many other people you can choose from.\u201d<\/p>\n
