Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> has a knack for writing about the ups and downs of falling in love<\/a> \u2014 and with exes like Joe Jonas<\/strong><\/a>, John Mayer<\/strong><\/a>, Harry Styles<\/strong><\/a>, Tom Hiddleston<\/strong><\/a> and Calvin Harris<\/strong><\/a>, she has no shortage of inspiration.<\/p>\n The performer previously admitted that she received a range of responses from her ex-boyfriends about her music<\/a>. While discussing the 2012 song \u201cAll Too Well,\u201d which is based on her short-lived romance with Jake Gyllenhaal<\/strong><\/a>, Swift revealed that she spoke with her former flame about the breakup track.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHe was like, \u2018I just listened to the album, and that was a really bittersweet experience for me. It was like going through a photo album.\u2019 That was nice,\u201d she recalled to New York<\/em> magazine<\/em> in 2013. \u201cNicer than, like, the ranting, crazy e-mails I got from this one dude. After sparking her romance with Joe Alwyn<\/strong><\/a> in 2017, the songwriter found herself connecting with the actor on a musical level.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cJoe and I really love sad songs.
