Julianne Hough<\/strong><\/a> had some fun at the expense of the \u201ctrad wives\u201d trend<\/a> in a new video showing her cooking and doing light chores in a bikini.<\/p>\n The Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> judge, 36, shared the Instagram post on Sunday, September 22. The clip featured her wearing a white two-piece while whipping up lunch in her kitchen. Julianne did a few cute dance moves and cuddled her dog, Sunny, in her arms amid putting her meal in the oven.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat\u2019s the opposite of a tradwife?\u201d Jules asked in the caption, along with a winking face emoji. One person joked in the comments, \u201cFab wife,\u201d while another added, \u201cUntradwife.\u201d<\/p>\n Followers gushed over how stunning the pro dancer looked. \u201cMy celebrity crush is looking so gorgeous,\u201d one fan commented, while another told her, \u201cJules, you\u2019re super attractive when cooking especially in your attire.\u201d<\/p>\n Others weren\u2019t so sure what Julianne was up to wearing a bikini while cooking. \u201cSo, may I ask what you are trying to promote here? Loved you forever but not sure why the sudden thirst traps,\u201d a user told the ABC star, while another hoped she didn\u2019t get her skin burned, writing, \u201cI don\u2019t care what she\u2019s not wearing or wearing just concerned she\u2019s cooking without clothes on.\u201d<\/p>\n Jules was seemingly poking fun at how trad wives have become social media sensations thanks to TikTok and Instagram. The term is short for a \u201ctraditional wife\u201d who takes on the gender role of a woman being a stay-at-home mother, raising children, cooking, and tending to the house, with her husband being the primary breadwinner.<\/p>\n Trad wives such as Ballerina Farm<\/a>\u2018s Hannah Neeleman<\/strong> and Nara Smith<\/strong> have gained huge followings by sharing recipes, crafting, posting child-rearing tips and other glimpses into their lifestyle.<\/p>\n Julianne married former NHL star Brooks Laich<\/strong> in 2017 after dating for four years. The duo announced their separation in May 2020 and their divorce was finalized in 2022. The former couple did not have children.<\/p>\n The Safe Haven<\/em> star told Women\u2019s Health<\/em><\/a> in June 2020 that she froze her eggs. \u201cWe never actually tried to get pregnant. It was more of a precautionary measure: Let\u2019s do our due diligence for the future by freezing eggs,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n Julianne was still interested in motherhood, but on her own terms.<\/p>\n \u201cI believe in soul love, whatever that looks like. I kind of don\u2019t believe in labels.
