\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Hilarie Burton<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out about the One Tree Hill<\/strong><\/a><\/em> reboot in the works!<\/p>\n The 42-year-old actress is currently one of two stars attached to reprise their role<\/a>, and she\u2019ll also serve as an executive producer. <\/p>\n While the potential new series is not officially a go, it is currently in development at Netflix<\/strong><\/a> and will pick up 20 years later. <\/p>\n Recently, Hilarie <\/strong>talked about the reboot and teased how it will be told through a female lens, plus she addressed the fans\u2019 excitement for it.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhat I can say is that this go-around, being able to work with a team of women and look at these stories [and] these characters through a female lens is something that \u2014 whether I was doing a reboot or a brand-new show or a different movie at this phase in my life, female teamwork is something that is so vital to me,\u201d she told People<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n \u201cIt is the core of anything I\u2019ve done that\u2019s successful. So I\u2019m excited to be able to team up with people that I look up to, people that I love dearly,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n As for the fan reactions?<\/p>\n \u201cThe nicest thing is seeing the positive fan reaction to it and all of our friends from the show commenting on posts and just getting to show enthusiasm, because obviously we want Netflix to greenlight it,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n Hilarie<\/strong> also addressed the news being leaked before they could announce it themselves.<\/p>\n \u201cDo I wish that the news hadn\u2019t leaked before we could announce it was official? Sure. But if it happens, I will be so freaking proud, much like we said, that every single person gets to bring their expertise to the table now,\u201d she told People<\/em>.<\/p>\n Over the summer, Hilarie<\/strong> exited the One Tree Hill<\/em> rewatch podcast Drama Queens<\/em> that she did with Sophia Bush<\/strong><\/a> and Bethany Joy Lenz<\/strong><\/a>. Her reasoning was because she wasn\u2019t really in the final few seasons, so a new co-host who was on the show at the end was added<\/a>!<\/p>\n Hilarie<\/strong> also opened up about her final day of filming <\/a>on the series and how it was awkward and \u201cdeeply uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
