Donald Trump<\/strong> is campaigning in North Carolina on Saturday, just two days<\/a> after CNN\u2019s investigative reporting found<\/a> that the former president\u2019s chosen gubernatorial candidate<\/a> in the state, Mark Robinson<\/strong>, made dozens of disturbing comments on a pornography website\u2019s message board more than a decade ago.<\/p>\n Robinson, who denied the claims, will apparently not be in attendance, according<\/a> to AP sources.<\/p>\n Among other alarming remarks made under the username \u201cminisoldr,\u201d Robinson said, unprovoked, \u201cI\u2019m a black NAZI!\u201d He also admitted to \u201cpeeping\u201d on women in public gym showers as a 14-year-old, claimed to like \u201ctranny on girl porn!,\u201d and referred to Muslims as \u201clittle rag-headed bastards.\u201d<\/p>\n CNN, according to reporters Andrew Kaczynski<\/strong> and Em Steck<\/strong>, identified Robinson by his email account and \u201cby matching a litany of biographical details\u201d from the posts to the Republican gubernatorial nominee.<\/p>\n Robinson, who, if elected, would become North Carolina\u2019s first Black governor, reportedly called Martin Luther King Jr. a \u201ccommie bastard,\u201d \u201cworse than a maggot,\u201d a \u201cho f**king, phony,\u201d and a \u201chuckster.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not in the KKK. They don\u2019t let blacks join. If I was in the KKK I would have called him Martin Lucifer Koon!\u201d Robinson reportedly posted, writing in another instance that \u201cSlavery is not bad. Some people need to be slaves. I wish they would bring it (slavery) back. I would certainly buy a few.\u201d<\/p>\n These posts were made over a decade ago, between 2008 and 2012, on \u201cNude Africa,\u201d a pornographic website.<\/p>\n In the years that followed, Robinson has repeatedly<\/a> shared other hateful sentiments.<\/p>\n In a 2017 Facebook post, Robinson said<\/a> he was \u201cso sick of seeing and hearing people STILL talk about Nazis and Hitler and how evil and manipulative they were\u201d and warned against \u201cThe Communist\u201d who \u201chas been pushing this Nazi boogeyman narrative all these years.\u201d<\/p>\n Then, in another Facebook status<\/a> the next year, Robinson wrote, \u201cSo if a woman who \u2018transitioned\u2019 into a \u2018man\u2019 marries and abuses a man who \u2018transitioned\u2019 into a \u2018woman\u2019 is it still\u2019 violence against a woman?\u2019 Will the feminist raise hell over it?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m asking for a British Cigarette,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n In 2020<\/a>, Robinson told<\/a> attendees at a Republican Women of Pitt County event that, \u201cI absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn\u2019t vote.\u201d (Vanity Fair<\/em>\u2019s Bess Levin<\/strong> compiled more receipts here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n For over a year, Trump has lauded<\/a> the current North Carolina lieutenant governor, enthusiastically endorsing him as the state\u2019s head of government.<\/p>\n At the North Carolina Republican Party\u2019s annual convention in June of 2023, Trump called<\/a> Robinson \u201cone of the great stars of the party, one of the great stars in politics.\u201d That December, the former president held<\/a> a fundraiser for him at his Florida Mar-a-Lago estate.<\/p>\n \u201cI think he has the chance to be one of the greatest leaders because, I\u2019ve been with him a lot, I\u2019ve gotten to know him, and he\u2019s outstanding,\u201d Trump said at that event. \u201cHe\u2019s tough, and he\u2019s smart, and he has tremendous heart.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis is Martin Luther King on steroids,\u201d Trump said<\/a> at a rally in Greensboro, NC, in March of this year. \u201cI told that to Mark. I said, \u2018I think you\u2019re better than Martin Luther King. I think you are Martin Luther King times two.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear if or how Trump will refer to Robinson in his rally remarks on Saturday. According to NBC News<\/a> on Friday, Trump has been \u201cfacing calls both from his allies and from within his own campaign to pull his endorsement from scandal-plagued North Carolina gubernatorial candidate,\u201d according to four people familiar with the discussions.<\/p>\n Following CNN\u2019s investigation, Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt<\/strong> told the network that, \u201cPresident Trump\u2019s campaign is focused on winning the White House and saving this country. North Carolina is a vital part of that plan.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
