The South Korean drama \u2014 created by Hwang Dong-hyuk \u2014 became one of the streaming platform\u2019s most-watched series following its September 2021 premiere and garnered critical acclaim and accolades, including three Screen Actors Guild [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The dystopian drama\u2019s second season was filmed back-to-back with a third and final season, which will premiere in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been almost three years since season 1 was met with incredible response around the world and many unimaginable events took place,\u201d <em>Squid Game<\/em> creator <strong>Hwang Dong-hyuk<\/strong> wrote in a letter announcing the season 2 premiere back in July. \u201cOn the first day we began shooting 2eason 2, I remember thinking, \u2018Wow, I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m back in the world of<em> Squid Game<\/em>.\u2019 It almost felt surreal.
