Jersey Shore<\/span><\/i><\/a> star <\/span>Sammi \u201cSweetheart\u201d Giancola<\/b><\/a> reveals why she wanted to share her IVF journey in an attempt to become pregnant on the show during an exclusive interview with Life & Style.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cI couldn\u2019t hide it. It was like, I just came back to the show, but I\u2019m going through this and it was like, I don\u2019t wanna leave the show again and step back from it when I just came back,\u201d Sammi, 37, tells Life & Style<\/em> when reflecting on her decision share her IVF experience in upcoming episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/em>. \u201cSo it was actually a really hard decision to make.\u201d<\/p>\n Sammi adds that she filmed the storyline without knowing if she would ultimately want it to air. \u201cBut I\u2019ve learned through this whole process that by talking about it more, it makes it a little bit more easier to go through,\u201d she shares. \u201cMaybe [it] will help other people relate or maybe somebody else is going through a similar situation.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMaybe I can just help anybody with what I\u2019m going through personally,\u201d Sammi continues, adding that she \u201clearned a lot\u201d about IVF \u201cthrough other people\u201d via social media. \u201cSo maybe now I can just help other people with what I\u2019m going through with my story,\u201d she shares.<\/p>\n After acknowledging that \u201ca lot of people keep private\u201d about their struggles with fertility, Sammi says she has learned \u201cthat so many other people are actually going through the same thing.\u201d<\/p>\n The longtime TV personality will open about her IVF journey as she tries to conceive a child with fianc\u00e9 Justin May in upcoming episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/em> when the show returns on Thursday, September 19.<\/p>\n Sammi and Justin, 36, got engaged in March, and revealed the happy news a few weeks later on April 1. \u201cLife update: Fianc\u00e9. The easiest question I\u2019ve ever answered \u2026 happiest & luckiest girl in the world. I\u2019ll love you forever and then some,\u201d Sammi wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside photos from the proposal and the hashtags \u201cfuture wifey\u201d and \u201cengaged.\u201d \u201cCan\u2019t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.\u201d<\/p>\n Justin also shared the news in an Instagram post of his own. \u201cShe said yes!\u201d he wrote. \u201cCan\u2019t wait to Marry my best friend! Love you so much babe! Can\u2019t wait to spend the rest of my life with you!\u201d<\/p>\n Sammi is clearly confident in her relationship with Justin, and she recently wished him a happy birthday in an Instagram tribute on September 5. \u201cHappy Birthday to my love @j_may36!\u201d the MTV personality wrote alongside two selfies of the pair. \u201cHope this birthday is your best one yet, love you so so much!\u201d<\/p>\n While Sammi was among one of the original stars to appear on Jersey Shore when it first aired on MTV from 2009 until 2012, she opted not to return to the spinoff when it premiered in 2018.
