The 28-year-old actress is aware of the scrutiny that she faces, and Florence acknowledged that online criticism “never feels good”.<\/p>\n
The blonde beauty told the October issue of British Vogue magazine: “It\u2019s so hard. [The internet\u2019s] a very mean place. It\u2019s really painful to read people being nasty about my confidence or nasty about my weight. It never feels good. <\/p>\n
“The one thing I always wanted to achieve was to never sell someone else, something that isn\u2019t the real me.”.<\/p>\n
Asked if she’s always been body confident, Florence replied: “I don\u2019t think it\u2019s confidence in hoping people like me. I think it\u2019s just, like, I don\u2019t want to be anyone else.”<\/p>\n
\nFlorence believes she’s actually overcome a lot of her own insecurities in recent years.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking about shooting magazine covers, the actress shared: “I\u2019m not a model. It\u2019s portraying a completely different version of myself that I don\u2019t necessarily believe in. You have to believe that you deserve to be in those pages being beautiful. <\/p>\n
\n“But now I know what I want to show. I know who I want to show. I know who I want to be and I know what I look like. There\u2019s no insecurities about what I am anymore.”<\/p>\n
\nFlorence shaved her head ahead of the 2023 Met Gala, and she believes that the move reflected her personal evolution.<\/p>\n
\nThe movie star explained: “I was going through so many [aesthetic] iterations when I was also going through life decisions.<\/p>\n
\n“I was like, \u2018Cool, well I don\u2019t look like me. I\u2019m changed. I\u2019m changing.\u2019 Looking back on that summer, I was growing into a new thing.”<\/p>\n
