Though early reviews for the <em>WandaVision <\/em>spinoff are decidedly positive, there\u2019s yet another reason to watch.<\/p>\n<p>Selena Gomez may be about to make her MCU debut. Some of them turn out to be true \u2014 like Jennifer Garner reprising her role as Elektra in <em>Deadpool<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Thus far, the whispers of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/07\/taylor-swift-mcu-dazzler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Taylor Swift playing Dazzler<\/a>, a mutant pop star, have yet to materialize. <\/p>\n<p>Where on the spectrum do the Selena Gomez <em>Agatha All Along <\/em>rumors fall? She\u2019s an enormously talented actress with multiple Disney ties (from her teen acting era to Hulu\u2019s <em>Only Murders In The Building<\/em>). Selena is also an enormously talented singer.<\/p>\n<p>Given that the show takes its name from a <em>WandaVision <\/em>song and also co-stars <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/09\/kim-kardashian-slammed-patti-lupone-ahs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Broadway legend Patti LuPone<\/a>, Selena sounds like a very good fit. Potentially. Wanda Maximoff\u2019s ability to warp reality had transformed a town into a living sitcom, like if <em>Once Upon A Time<\/em> had a bigger budget and more consistent writing.<\/p>\n<p>There is a prominent theory that Selena Gomez will reprise her role as Alex Russo from <em>Wizards of Waverly Place<\/em>. We have no idea of the potential context of this, except that there are many possibilities with ample precedent within the MCU.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, Disney+ is developing a <em>Wizards of Waverly Place<\/em> sequel series starring David Henrie. It\u2019s smart to have a soft promo for the project. Remember, Agatha\u2019s been inside a living television show before. Magical hijinks are almost inevitable.<\/p>\n<p>Agatha All Along is also bringing us a non-child version of Billy Kaplan, one of Marvel\u2019s best comics characters. Billy is more than just the son of Scarlet Witch and grandson of Magneto \u2014 he\u2019s immensely powerful. <\/p>\n<p>Remember Xochitl Gomez\u2019s America Chavez from <em>Doctor Strange And The Multiverse of Madness<\/em>? In comics, he was the demiurge who created her home universe before the two became teammates.<\/p>\n<p>Billy Kaplan brings us one step closer to having a solid Young Avengers starting lineup.
