Not just to us, but to the fandom at large. And there was an immediate divide. <\/p>\n<p>It didn\u2019t help matters that the infamous fraudster <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/09\/anna-delvey-ankle-monitor-dancing-with-the-stars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">must wear an ankle monitor<\/a> as she participates in the dance competition. They had an array of mock-up high end fashion bags bearing her (fake) initials).<\/p>\n<p>The bags weren\u2019t merely there for characterization. And, obviously, she had to receive permission from authorities \u2014 in this case, ICE \u2014 to participate in <em>DWTS<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as the bag was out of the way, the camera put her ankle monitor on full display.<\/p>\n<p>Anna Delvey\u2019s monitor had a bit of a glow-up. It might have been Song of the Summer were it not for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/09\/who-is-chappell-roan-dating\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">another music superstar<\/a>\u2018s hit.<\/p>\n<p>The song doesn\u2019t necessarily go to the heart of Anna Delvey\u2019s fame. But, then again, how many songs are there about fraud? Anna Delvey is not a practiced dancer, but she has the makings of one.<\/p>\n<p>The judges hope that she will work on her technique. <\/p>\n<p>For now, she and Ezra scored an 18 out of 30. That is not bad for the season premiere \u2013 but it also might not enough to save her. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-anna-s-first-performance-slammed-by-fans\">Anna\u2019s First Performance Slammed By Fans<\/h2>\n<p>While the judges saw promise, fans saw contempt and a lack of enthusiasm from Anna. Many vowed to give their vote elsewhere, despite her technical skills on the floor. <\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, it wasn\u2019t so much her dancing or even her notoriety that seemed to irk viewers. Heck, it wasn\u2019t even the ankle bracelet!<\/p>\n<p>No, fans want her out because of her post-dance interview with the judges \u2013 where she pretty much said she didn\u2019t want to dance anymore!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe does not want to be there,\u201d posted one fan on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/dancingwiththestars\/comments\/1fjhti8\/anna_delvey_deserves_to_go_home_first\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reddit<\/a>. \u201cShe is not enthusiastic, her dancing was terrible, she\u2019s a criminal, destroyed peoples lives and thinks she has done nothing wrong. The worst part was her saying shes glad she doesn\u2019t have to do that dance again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was shocked when she said she didn\u2019t want to do that dance again,\u201d added another commenter. \u201cSo many people would love to be on the show and enjoy it and she said that. I feel so sorry for Ezra!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Finally, there seemed to be an agreement in the subreddit, titled \u201cAnna Delvey deserves to go home first,\u201d that few would be voting for her to continue. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-does-anna-even-want-to-stay-on-dancing-with-the-stars\">Does Anna Even Want To Stay On \u2018Dancing With The Stars\u2019?!<\/h2>\n<p>Despite her comments and the fan feedback,  Anna Delvey shared how much work had gone into that first dance on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DABm57qvN-v\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Many viewers are not fully aware of just how grueling a dance competition can be. It\u2019s a full body workout. And even <em>non-ballet<\/em> dances can annihilate your feet.<\/p>\n<p>So maybe the Cha-Cha just wasn\u2019t her thing! Maybe she\u2019s ready to graduate to something a bit more graceful, less impactful. <\/p>\n<p>Yes, Anna Delvey (real name Anna Sorokin, but that\u2019s not her <em>DWTS <\/em>name) is controversial. But that\u2019s exactly why the show cast her.
