In response, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk threatened to sue the agency on a claim of \u201cregulatory overreach.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">The FAA says one set of fines totaling $350,000 is related to a June 18th, 2023 launch in which SpaceX used an \u201cunapproved launch control room for the PSN SATRIA mission,\u201d and skipped a required \u201cT-2 hour readiness poll.\u201d The company had requested approval for the changes in May, the FAA says, but never got it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">Similarly, the company sought clearance for a new rocket propellant farm in July, but didn\u2019t wait for approval before launching an EchoStar Jupiter communications satellite on July 28th, 2023, the agency alleges.
