Kourtney Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> is such a believer in co-sleeping with her kids that her daughter, Penelope Disick<\/a>, did so until the age of 11.<\/p>\n The Poosh founder, 45, made the shocking revelation during a Monday, September 16, appearance on Dear Media\u2019s \u201cHer & Him<\/a> \u201cpodcast. Kourtney also shared that all of her kids spent years co-sleeping with her before finally doing so on their own.<\/p>\n \u201cAs a mother, I like to do what feels natural and instinctual to me. And that\u2019s for me what it is,\u201d Kourtney explained about co-sleeping. \u201cAnd of course, I also read all the benefits and hear all the benefits. And I mean, it\u2019s something that mammals have been doing for since time existed.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star shares three children with former partner Scott Disick<\/strong>: sons Mason and Reign, and Penelope, 12. Kourtney and husband Travis Barker<\/strong> welcomed their first child<\/a>, son Rocky Thirteen, in November 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cI think every person\u2019s different, and every child is different. My oldest son slept with me till he was 7 and just naturally wanted to sleep,\u201d she said of Mason, 14. \u201cI mean also part of it [is] like at a certain time I would put him to bed in his room and then he would come to my room.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s what my daughter does. She comes in. And then at 7, he just stopped and he was like, \u2018I\u2019m done with you, I sleep in my own room.\u2019 And then my daughter slept with me pretty much till she was 11,\u201d Kourtney continued.<\/p>\n The Hulu personality previously revealed in an October 2022 appearance on the \u201cNot Skinny But Not Fat\u201d podcast that Penelope was still co-sleeping with her.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s slept with me every day since she was born and pretty much still does unless she has a friend sleep over or unless she leaves me to go sleep at Travis\u2019 or Auntie Koko\u2019s or Auntie Kiki\u2019s,\u201d Kourtney shared, referring to sisters Khlo\u00e9<\/strong> and Kim Kardashian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The former E! star added of their close bond, \u201cWe\u2019ve spent so much time together and spend so much time together and I just, I don\u2019t worry about her.\u201d<\/p>\n Kourtney began co-sleeping with son Rocky, 10 months, since his birth and never left his side for his first 40 days of life.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m on the craziest hours right now because of our whole summer of touring, but I think one thing too is that we sleep with our baby,\u201d Kourtney said on \u201cHer & Him\u201d about of how she and Blink-182 drummer Travis, 48, are joined in their bed by Rocky. \u201cMy husband loves it too. So we get aligned.\u201d<\/p>\n Kourt shared her bonding experience with baby Rocky<\/a> while complaining about how Mason interrupted it during a July 11 episode of The Kardashians<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cMason broke his arm right when it turned 40 days, where I felt like God was like, \u2018Your 40 days are up. Get your ass out of the house,\u2019\u201d the Lemme founder explained to her friends. \u201cMason called me and was like, \u2018Mom, I\u2019m on the side of the road. I broke my arm!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Kourtney said she hadn\u2019t left Rocky\u2019s side until that moment, adding, \u201cI didn\u2019t even have any saved milk because I don\u2019t leave him. But now I\u2019m also feeling the guilt of all the kids.\u201d<\/p>\n During a June 27 episode of the show, the new mom noted, \u201cIn many different cultures, women don\u2019t leave the house after having a baby for 40 days to let your body have that time to heal. And beyond that, I\u2019m really into attachment parenting. I really don\u2019t separate from him<\/a>,\u201d referring to Rocky.<\/p>\n In a May 27 Instagram Story, Kourtney responded to a new mom who asked, \u201cAny tips on a baby who only likes to be held to take a nap?\u201d<\/p>\n She replied. \u201cEnjoy every second! We do the same. He\u2019s never been in his crib. It\u2019s my favorite thing in the world,\u201d along with a photo of Rocky\u2019s unused crib<\/a>.<\/p>\n Kourtney revealed her practice of co-sleeping with her two oldest children in a 2014 interview with Redbook<\/em> magazine. \u201cMason and Penelope still sleep in my bed,\u201d she told the publication. \u201dIt\u2019s what came naturally to me; I didn\u2019t plan it. When I had Mason, I just felt really attached to him, and wanted to bring him everywhere. He ended up sleeping with me, and I breastfed for 14 months.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
