Wheel of Fortune<\/em><\/a> fans were confused when Alexa Hoekstra<\/strong> lost $100,000 on the Thursday, April 6 episode.<\/p>\n The Texas Woman\u2019s University won the episode and headed to the bonus round where she chose the \u201cWhat Are You Doing?\u201d category. After guessing her letters, she was left with \u201c__ST _IN_ING IT\u201d on the board. She had 10 seconds to guess the answer, and fans believed she said, \u201cJust Winging It,\u201d which turned out to be the correct answer. However, host Pat Sajak<\/strong><\/a> believed Hoekstra said \u201cJust Winning It.\u201d<\/p>\n After Sajak said she didn\u2019t win, the contestant lamented, \u201cSo close.\u201d<\/p>\n The college student didn\u2019t walk away empty-handed. She won $19,950 during the game.<\/p>\n While Hoekstra was a good sport about the loss, Wheel of Fortune<\/em> fans were outraged<\/a>. \u201cOk so I re-watched Alexa\u2019s bonus round and from what I heard, she clearly said the answer on the first try. The show clearly owes her the $100k now #WheelOfFortune,\u201d one outraged viewer shared via Twitter.<\/p>\n \u201cBro the girl LITERALLY SAID \u2018JUST WINGING IT\u2019 IMMEDIATELY!!!! @WheelofFortune You totally ripped her off of $100k,\u201d one person tweeted. Another added, \u201cAlexa on Wheel of Fortune just said \u201cjust winging it\u201d on the final puzzle and they didn\u2019t accept it despite it being the correct answer. Didn\u2019t win the $100k. Actually robbed.\u201d<\/p>\n Some even blamed Sajack, 76, for the loss. \u201cShe said both. Just winging it and then Just winning it. I\u2019m done with this show. Retire Pat. It\u2019s time,\u201d one angry audience member shared.<\/p>\n For her part, Hoekstra hasn\u2019t publicly commented on the matter. After the show, she simply shared a photo noting her pride. \u201cBack in January, I had the opportunity to compete on Wheel of Fortune<\/em>, representing Texas Woman\u2019s University. Last night was my air date! It was an amazing experience and I am so proud to represent my university!\u201d she shared via LinkedIn<\/a> on Friday, April 7.<\/p>\n Sajak, who has hosted the ABC game show since 1981, recently went viral for jokingly tackling<\/a> a winner.<\/p>\n Fred Jackson<\/strong> explained in the broadcast that he works as a professional wrestler (in addition to other gigs, including drama teacher and bar trivia host). After winning $75,800, Sajak asked the other contestants whether they wanted him \u201cto body-slam [Fred] for you\u201d because of his wrestling background.<\/p>\n The Illinois native then jokingly attempted to put the Wheel of Fortune<\/em> champion in a headlock.
