Charmed <\/i><\/a>costars Brian Krause<\/strong> and Dorian Gregory<\/strong> will never forget their late costar<\/a> Shannen Doherty<\/strong>, who died earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy first day of meeting Shannen for me was personal,\u201d Gregory, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i>at \u201890s Con on Friday, September 13. \u201cI come from a strong house of women and [I remember] the strength and the certainty and the warmth that Shannen greeted me with initially.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI came around the corner. I heard Shannen and Holly [Marie Combs]<\/strong> laughing and [they had so much] confidence and joy. It was a real laugh. They shared such a unique bond.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doherty played Prue Halliwell on The WB\u2019s Charmed, <\/i>which ran between 1998 and 2008. Combs, 50, and Alyssa Milano<\/strong> played her younger sisters<\/a>, Piper and Phoebe. (Rose McGowan<\/strong> later portrayed their half-sibling, Paige, during season 4 after Doherty\u2019s exit.) Gregory, for his part, took on the role of police officer Darryl Morris, who became a key ally in keeping the Halliwell sisters\u2019 magical secret.<\/p>\n

What a warrior,\u201d Rose McGowan wrote via Instagram comment on Sunday, July 14. \u201cYour daddy is holding his best girl now. Love to your mama, your dog and all who [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

From the moment Gregory met Doherty, he felt at ease on set.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came in for my introductory of like, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m Dorian,\u2019 and Shannen made me feel comfortable [and] at home,\u201d Gregory gushed. \u201cThat was my first cherished memory [of her].\u201d<\/p>\n

Gregory was among the Charmed <\/i>stars to attend this weekend\u2019s \u201890s Con in Daytona Beach, Florida. While speaking with Us <\/i>on the red carpet, Krause, 55, also reflected on Doherty\u2019s legacy<\/a> and how she cemented his role on the show. (Krause played Leo Wyatt, the love interest to Combs\u2019 Piper.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI was told the possible love interest was the thing and then at one point I had powers and I thought, \u2018Oh my God, it\u2019s over for me. Everyone [with] power dies.\u2019 And then Shannen said, \u2018No, you\u2019re a good guy,\u2019\u201d Krause recalled. \u201cAnd I\u2019m like, \u2018I am.\u2019 So then that became \u2018You are a whitelighter, then you became this and then you\u2019re evil and then you\u2019re not, and then you\u2019re the dad.\u2019 It\u2019s, like, amazing what it became.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPrior to her July 2024 death, Shannen Doherty made a name for herself in film and television. The actress, born in Memphis in April 1971, started her career as a child star on Little House on the Prairie and went on to appear in the dark comedic film Heathers. Doherty\u2019s fame continued to grow after [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He added, \u201cThere\u2019s parts of it that I didn\u2019t love, but a lot of content there and I like being the good guy [and there\u2019s] always the through line of the solid moral message of \u2018Do the right thing and good things happen.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Gregory and Krause \u2014 who were joined by costar Drew Fuller<\/strong> on Friday \u2014 also enjoyed sharing their set memories with Charmed <\/i>fans at \u201890s Con.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt means everything,\u201d Gregory gushed. \u201cThere\u2019s no proper word that really conveys the importance of this. We grew up together and this is something that you could never predict. As far as where we are now, we\u2019re 20-plus years later [and] I love seeing people over and over again. I love the family that we\u2019ve created over decades with my Charmed<\/i> family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Krause, meanwhile, asserted that he\u2019s \u201cjust so grateful\u201d to have been on Charmed <\/i>and that fans still enjoy it.<\/p>\n
