There\u2019s nothing worse than a wardrobe malfunction at the best of times \u2013 it\u2019s even worse when it happens when you\u2019re meeting royalty, as Janet Jackson<\/strong><\/a> found out the hard way.<\/p>\n

The singer revealed that her pants split while meeting the late Queen Elizabeth II<\/strong> <\/a>in the 1990s in a British Vogue<\/i> video interview uploaded via YouTube<\/a> on Thursday, September 12.<\/p>\n

\u201cFunny story about this outfit,\u201d Jackson, 58, said while looking back at some of her past clothing choices. \u201cI was performing for the Queen of England and we were doing \u2018Rhythm Nation.\u2019 Sure enough, as soon as I squatted, my pants split right in my booty crack. I couldn\u2019t believe it happened. I thought, \u2018Oh my God.\u2019 And then I started feeling air back there, so I knew it had really happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson said she was forced to carefully adjust her dance moves in the moment so that she wouldn\u2019t \u201cflash\u201d the queen.<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI just faced forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson has previously been at the center of arguably the most famous wardrobe malfunction of all time \u2013 her infamous Super Bowl incident.<\/p>\n

In February 2004, Justin Timberlake<\/strong> performed during the halftime show, bringing out Jackson as a surprise guest.<\/p>\n

During the final moment of the show, Timberlake ripped off part of Jackson\u2019s costume, leaving her right breast mostly exposed.<\/p>\n

The move caused uproar at the time<\/a>, leading to both Timberlake and Jackson publicly apologizing and calling the incident a \u201cwardrobe malfunction.\u201d In the immediate aftermath of the performance, there were conflicting reports about whether the moment was an accident or planned.<\/p>\n

Opening up about the scandal<\/a> in her 2022 Lifetime documentary, Janet Jackson<\/i>, the singer said she believed the outrage was over the top.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, this whole thing was blown way out of proportion,\u201d Jackson said. \u201cAnd, of course, it was an accident that should not have happened, but everyone is looking for someone to blame and that\u2019s gotta stop. Justin and I are very good friends and we will always be very good friends.\u201d<\/p>\n
