Britney Spears, 42, said in an Instagram video on Sept. 12 that she didn\u2019t watch the VMAs, but she did watch Carpenter\u2019s performance on YouTube. And though she questioned the singer\u2019s onstage kiss with an alien, she was honored.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy is she kissing an alien onstage? I adore her. I love her to death. I didn\u2019t understand that part. Why didn\u2019t she kiss a girl?\u201d Spears said, likely a reference to her famous 2003 VMAs kiss with Madonna. \u201cThat was weird. But I also thought that the whole thing was kind of weird altogether.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said that after watching, she \u201ctook a really long bath\u201d and did some coloring, a favorite hobby of hers at the moment. \u201cThis Sabrina girl, she said my name on the red carpet, and I thought that was kind of cool, because I forget I\u2019m famous sometimes,\u201d said Spears. \u201cBecause I\u2019m a mom, I\u2019m kind of old, blah blah blah. But that was kind of cool\u2026 She said something and I was like, \u2018Thanks, that\u2019s cool.\u2019 She made me cool!\u201d<\/p>\n
Sabrina’s performance included the iconic spoken interlude from Spears\u2019 classic \u201cOops!…I Did It Again\u201d in the background.<\/p>\n
