Moriah Plath<\/strong><\/a> let her walls down on the latest episode of Welcome to Plathville<\/em><\/a>, revealing how her recent breakup physically affected her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI left Tampa the last day of September and I was grieving, lost in heartbreak, and my hair started falling out,\u201d Moriah, 22, shared during the Tuesday, September 10, episode of the TLC series. \u201cI would brush my hair and it was just, like, [gone].\u201d<\/p>\n

The reality star revealed that she has alopecia and \u201cdefinitely lost about half my hair\u201d following her 2023 split. \u201cOh, I just, like, want to shave it off,\u201d Moriah told her mom, Kim Plath<\/strong><\/a>, through tears.<\/p>\n

Moriah later explained that when she was 3 or 4, she lost all her hair. \u201cIt started falling out and it didn\u2019t come back till I was 8,\u201d she recalled. \u201cThese last several months, I have noticed, for myself at least, heartbreak triggers my alopecia. I think that it\u2019s an outward reflection of what\u2019s going on inside.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moriah previously dated Max Kallschmidt<\/strong><\/a>, whom viewers met during season 2 of Welcome to Plathville<\/em> in 2020. The pair confirmed their split during a season 4 episode, which aired in 2022<\/a>. Moriah has been vocal about the sadness she experienced after learning Max cheated on her, but it appears that her season 6 heartbreak is about a new mystery man.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike my first breakup, I lost a little bit [of hair]. There [were], like, one or two spots,\u201d Moriah told her mom, seemingly referring to the Max split.<\/p>\n

Kim, 52, explained that her daughter\u2019s latest breakup was \u201ca lot harder for a lot of reasons.\u201d Kim pointed out that Moriah\u2019s most-recent relationship was \u201ca lot more stressful\u201d but wouldn\u2019t go into more details.<\/p>\n

Kim reassured her daughter that alopecia has a mind of its own, but no matter what happens with her hair, she is \u201cso beautiful.\u201d The matriarch gushed, \u201cI\u2019m so proud of you, even just for being brave enough to share that with people you know and get out there and make a music video. You\u2019re so strong and I\u2019m so proud of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moriah replied, \u201cThat\u2019s all I needed to hear. I love you, Mom,\u201d as the women cried and hugged on her bed. \u201cI love you too,\u201d Kim responded.<\/p>\n

Kim then teased, \u201cWell, the next guy that you date is getting a full background check, so you don\u2019t have to worry about that again.\u201d Moriah added, \u201cYeah, good idea,\u201d hinting that there was a lot she didn\u2019t know about her ex-boyfriend.<\/p>\n

During the episode, Moriah enlisted her family to help her organize a music video shoot for her album that was written about the breakup. \u201cI was constantly left hanging, waiting for a lot of promises that weren\u2019t kept or broken,\u201d she explained of the romance.<\/p>\n

Moriah\u2019s older brother Ethan Plath<\/strong> gave a little more insight into her ex\u2019s shady past<\/a> while speaking with a few of his siblings. \u201cAt the very end she found out that he actually had another girl that was either his girlfriend or his wife or whatever, but that he had a kid with this other woman,\u201d Ethan, 26, revealed.<\/p>\n
