I don\u2019t want to plant that seed in their mind. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cElton\u2019s been through a lot, but he\u2019s also as strong as an ox. He rarely cancels shows. He\u2019s a strong man, and he\u2019s a healer. He\u2019ll probably outlive me. He\u2019s just so tough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>David added watching the film gave him \u201ca lot of anxiety\u201d, and added he wants Elton to never die.<\/p>\n<p>\nHe said: \u201cLook, I want him to be around forever. And both of us, in the 30 years we\u2019ve been together, we\u2019re only just at this moment that we\u2019ve only ever dreamed of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nDavid went on about his husband recently giving up touring: \u201cElton was always doing 90, 100 shows a year, working constantly\u2026 and then we had our sons, and then that whole reality takes place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nThe director said five-time Grammy winning Elton\u2019s decision to stop going on the road was not the product of an \u201cinstant epiphany\u201d, but rather the product of them wanting to treasure as much time as possible together as a family. <\/p>\n<p>\nDavid insisted: \u201cHe\u2019s never going back on the road.
