\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s dad Matthew Knowles<\/strong><\/a> is reacting to her country album not receiving any nominations at the 2024 CMA Awards<\/strong><\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n The 43-year-old entertainer\u2019s album Cowboy Carter<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, which made history after it spent four weeks on top of Billboard\u2019s Top country albums chart, making her the first Black woman to achieve the feat, was noticeably snubbed from the awards show<\/a>, despite qualifying for categories like single of the year, song of the year, album of the year, female vocalist of the year and music event of the year. <\/p>\n In a new interview, Matthew<\/strong> admitted that he\u2019s not entirely surprised that Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong> was snubbed.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>Matthew<\/strong> told TMZ<\/a><\/em> that despite Cowboy Carter<\/em> being one of the biggest country albums of the year, voters are \u201cshowing it still comes down to white and black.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s more white people in America and unfortunately they don\u2019t vote based on ability and achievements, it\u2019s still sometimes a white and black thing,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Matthew<\/strong> went on to say that he isn\u2019t calling CMA<\/em> voters racist, but did note that Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong>\u2018s snub \u201cspeaks for itself.\u201d<\/p>\n He also said that the decision-makers at the CMAs<\/em> are taking a negative position when it comes to Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong>, but said it\u2019s no surprise considering the \u201ccurrent state of American culture.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIn America, there\u2019s no accountability for people not being accepting of other cultures,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n The 58th\u202fAnnual CMA Awards <\/em>broadcasts live from Nashville\u2019s Bridgestone Arena Wednesday, November 20 starting 8 p.m. ET on ABC and next day on Hulu.
