The DLC update will add new maps geared toward speedrunning challenges, leaderboards, and of course, new PlayStation-themed bots to rescue. However, don\u2019t expect something the size of Elden Ring\u2019s<\/em> Shadow of the Erdtree \u2014<\/em> Doucet says the DLC \u201cisn\u2019t going to be that huge.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The DLC\u2019s additional challenge levels should definitely appeal to players who enjoyed Astro Bot but needed something more demanding. Though the majority of Astro Bot<\/em> isn\u2019t that difficult, its challenge levels definitely required quite a bit more skill, with both gauntlets that require constant movement and puzzle-style levels that need a more cerebral approach. I\u2019m already excited by the prospect of speedrunners getting their hands on this game, and additional levels specifically tailored to that community should help.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n My attempt at one of the easier Astro Bot challenge levels.<\/em><\/small><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Keen-eyed players already noticed that some games like Rayman<\/em>, Stellar Blade<\/em>, and Croc<\/em> were alled out in Astro Bot<\/em>\u2019s credits<\/a> even though they weren\u2019t directly referenced in the game. So expect to see characters from those games as the DLC\u2019s new bots. I\u2019m also pulling for a Final Fantasy-<\/em>themed bot because it just feels right, y\u2019know. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
