Elton John<\/strong><\/a> opened up about one of Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s nicknames for North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un<\/strong><\/a> and the 2024 presidential election. <\/p>\n If you were unaware, the former president referred to Kim<\/strong> as \u201cLittle Rocket Man,\u201d a spin on Elton<\/strong>\u2018s iconic songs \u201cRocket Man.\u201d <\/p>\n While at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, Elton<\/strong> revealed how he felt about the nickname. He also made some comments about the 2024 presidential election, where Donald<\/strong> is facing off against Vice President Kamala Harris<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI laughed, I thought that was brilliant,\u201d Elton<\/strong> said about the nickname. \u201cI just thought, \u2018Good on you, Donald<\/em>.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, saying, \u201cDonald<\/strong>\u2019s always been a fan of mine, and he\u2019s been to my concerts many, many times. So, I mean, I\u2019ve always been friendly toward him, and I thank him for his support. When he did that, I just thought it was hilarious. It made me laugh.\u201d<\/p>\n The music legend described it as \u201ca light moment\u201d and \u201cfun.\u201d<\/p>\n Does that mean that Elton<\/strong> is advocating for Donald<\/strong> in the election? <\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t go on stage and say to people, \u2018You must vote for the Republicans, you must vote for the Democrats,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s none of my business how they vote. America is in a very volatile position. And it\u2019s a country I love, and I\u2019ve always loved, and I\u2019m so thankful that it made me who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n If you were unaware, former Vice President Dick Cheney<\/strong> recently endorsed Kamala<\/strong> even though he is a member of the Republican party like Donald<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cI just want people to vote for things that are just, things that are important to people: the right to choose, the right to be who you are, and not let anybody else tell you who to be. And that goes all the way up to the Supreme Court,\u201d Elton<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n He added, \u201cI just hope that people make the right decision to see what the future is going to be. Is it going to be fire and brimstone \u2026 or are we going to have a much calmer, a much safer place? People can vote for who they like, but as far as I\u2019m concerned, I love love. And I\u2019m a loving person, and I want that to come back to America.
