Taking his own advice? Tom Sandoval<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s past instruction for Jax Taylor<\/strong><\/a> after his brief split from Brittany Cartwright<\/strong><\/a> in 2017 is not aging well.<\/p>\n \u201cYou guys need to work [it] out,\u201d Sandoval, 40, told Taylor, 43, during season 6, episode 20, of Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a>, which filmed in summer 2017 but aired in April 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n At the time of the conversation, Taylor was still sharing an apartment with Cartwright<\/a>, 34, after dumping her following a few rocky months together. (Their short-lived split came after the Sharknando 4<\/em> star\u2019s affair with Faith Stowers<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 which happened between seasons 5 and 6 \u2014 came to light.)<\/p>\n Sandoval insisted during the episode that living under one roof with Cartwright<\/a> was a big mistake on Taylor\u2019s part. \u00a0\u201cYou guys do not need to be sleeping in that apartment together at all,\u201d the TomTom cofounder told his one-time BFF. \u201cYou can\u2019t do that man. You guys have broken up.\u201d<\/p>\n The restauranteur\u2019s eye raising comments aired five years before Sandoval found himself in the exact same situation \u2014 living with ex Ariana Madix<\/strong><\/a> after cheating on her with Raquel Leviss<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed in March that Sandoval and Madix, 37, called it quits<\/a> after dating for nine years amid his months-long affair with Leviss, 28. The former couple have since continued to reside in their California home<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThey own the house together, and what happens next with the property will take time to sort out,\u201d a rep for Sandoval told Us<\/em> on March 7<\/a>. \u201cThis isn\u2019t something that\u2019s going to be decided in a weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n Madix\u2019s pal \u2014 and Pump Rules<\/em> alum \u2014 Kristen Doute<\/strong><\/a> claimed that Sandoval, whom she dated before the Florida native, is refusing to vacate the house.<\/p>\n \u201cWe tried having a mutual friend, one of Ariana\u2019s college best friends, rather than someone too close to them [reach out to him] \u2026 just saying, \u2018Listen, dude, you gotta at least give her a couple hours heads-up when you need to come home to pick things up. You need to let this rest for at least a few weeks. Allow her to grieve, allow her to heal,’\u201d Doute, 40, alleged during the March 16 episode of the \u201cViall Files<\/a>\u201d podcast. \u201cAnd of course, his response is, \u2018It\u2019s my f\u2014king house. I own half of it. I will come and go as I please, and if she has a problem with it, she can leave.’\u201d<\/p>\n While the Schwartz & Sandy\u2019s cofounder and Leviss have since issued public apologies<\/a> and said sorry to Madix for the scandal they have remained in contact. The twosome once again made headlines<\/a> in late March when the former pageant queen was spotted outside the exes\u2019 shared home.<\/p>\n Madix\u2019s friend Logan Cochran<\/strong> called out the duo for their actions via his Instagram Story<\/a> on March 30, telling them to \u201cat least pretend to have some decency.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor, for his part, reconciled with Cartwright before the aforementioned 2018 Pump Rules<\/em> episode aired. The twosome got engaged in June 2018 and tied the knot the following year<\/a>.<\/p>\n In June 2020, Taylor\u2019s affair with Stowers<\/a>, 34, once again made headlines when the Georgia native detailed what it was like being the only Black cast member on the Bravo show.<\/p>\n \u201cI felt like after their friend did something that we both were involved in that he\u2019s done like, a thousand times, they wanted to attack me instead of him. They wanted to attack, attack, attack, attack, attack,\u201d Stowers said at the time via Instagram Live. \u201cI was wrong, I was this, I was that, calling me names, saying my hair was nappy, which is weird coming out of their mouths. \u2026\u00a0 I was just really, like, confused that they were attacking me and giving him nothing \u2014 in my opinion. He got off very, very, very, easy \u2014 especially with the things I\u2019ve been told.\u201d<\/p>\n Amid the drama, Cartwright was accused of being racist towards Stowers<\/a>, which she denied. Taylor, meanwhile, came under fire when old tweets about his former costar resurfaced. Six months later, the couple announced that they would not be returning to the reality show<\/a> for season 9.<\/p>\n After leaving the series, the Michigan native welcomed his first child, son Cruz<\/a>, with Cartwright in April 2021.
