Rumer Willis<\/strong><\/a> is now raising her firstborn, Louetta<\/strong>, as a single mom \u2013 but she\u2019s got the whole of Team Willis plus mom Demi Moore<\/strong> rallying round and helping her pick up the pieces 24\/7, a source exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cRumer has handled it all in a very classy way, but that doesn\u2019t mean it isn\u2019t sad for her.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Screen legend Bruce Willis<\/strong>\u2019 eldest daughter, Rumer, 36, announced that she broke things off with musician Derek Richard Thomas<\/strong> in April 2024 via Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI am single-momming it and coparenting,\u201d Rumer wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n Their split came a year after welcoming daughter Louetta into the world.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so grateful for Lou. She is the best thing in my life<\/a>. I\u2019m forever grateful I was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life,\u201d Rumer stated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The couple had been dating for some time before going Instagram official in November 2022 and had jammed together a few months prior in May of the same year.<\/span><\/p>\n The former Vista Kicks frontman, 30, even played with Rumer\u2019s father, Bruce, 69, in a video posted in August 2022 that had the musician strumming a guitar while the Die Hard<\/em> star played harmonica.<\/span><\/p>\n The couple announced they were pregnant, with Rumer giving birth in April 2023. Before the baby came, the Sorority Row<\/em> star talked about how excited they were to be parents<\/a> on a February 2023 episode of the podcast \u201cThe Bathroom Chronicles.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI was talking to my partner the other day and saying, \u2018You know, when I go to the farmers market, I call it church because I leave and I feel so excited,\u2019 \u201d she said. \u201cAnd the idea of being able to bring my kids in like a little cart or something brings me so much delight, I can\u2019t even \u2026 I can\u2019t wait.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt has come as a bit of a shock to people because only a few months ago things seemed to be going so well between her and Derek,\u201d the source says.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cBut she\u2019s now telling people it just wasn\u2019t meant to be, that they gave it their best and they realized they\u2019re better off as coparents because the last thing they want to do is try and force it.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cRumer is disappointed things fell apart with Derek, she\u2019s going through all those emotions but luckily she has a ton of support.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
