Netflix<\/a>\u2019s <\/span>Love Is Blind <\/span><\/i><\/a>has seen dozens of proposals in its four seasons, each with a uniquely stunning diamond ring. But fans have been curious about who foots the bill for the sparklers. <\/span>Keep reading for details on the <\/b>Love Is Blind <\/i><\/b>engagement rings.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n While some men \u2013 like season 2\u2019s Kyle Abrams<\/strong> who brought his mother\u2019s engagement ring to the experiment \u2013 arrive at the pods prepared to propose with a sentimental ring, according to show creator Chris Coelen<\/strong>, this is not the norm.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIf they get to the point that they want to propose, we will ultimately give them [the rings]<\/a>,\u201d he told Newsweek in November 2022. \u201cI don\u2019t know how many different kinds of rings, but there\u2019s some selection of rings that we will show to them\u2026and if they want to propose and get engaged, we will give them the opportunity to.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Chris went on to say that he makes it clear to the female contestants that they have the ability to propose to the men if they choose.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOn every show that I\u2019ve worked on, I always say to the women, \u2018You know you can propose.\u2019 Like this is an equal, mutual decision,\u201d he added. \u201cIf you want to propose, you have the power to do that. We encourage you to.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Despite the production company footing the bill for the diamonds, it\u2019s unclear what happens to the jewelry if the couple doesn\u2019t make it down the aisle<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When season 4 couple<\/a> Jackelina Bonds<\/strong> and Marshall Glaze<\/strong> called it quits, fans watched as the marketing manager asked for the ring back.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI would like the ring back, because I don\u2019t think that you deserve it. You never should have accepted my proposal,\u201d Marshall told his ex. \u201cYou can keep the ring. Every time you look at that thing, whatever you do with it, I want you to be reminded that you passed up on something great,\u201d he added after she refused to hand it over.<\/span><\/p>\n Similar to the rings, Chris told <\/span>Newsweek <\/span><\/i>that the production company also pays for the couples\u2019 weddings<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe put on the wedding and we supply the food and get their input into all this,\u201d he said. \u201cIf there\u2019s anything over and above what we would normally do then [the couples] are most certainly welcome to do that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Just like anyone planning a wedding knows, venues and vendors book out months in advance.
