A new luxury brand with ties to Wyndham made its first U.S. appearance this week in Colorado.<\/p>\n

The Mining Exchange, a Registry Collection Hotel<\/a>, opened Thursday in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the brand’s first property in the U.S. The renovated 128-room hotel was formerly a stock exchange for gold and silver sourced from the Rocky Mountains during the early 20th century, but today, it’s all about modern luxury. Guests can expect a full-service spa, on-site art gallery, multiple dining spots and easy access to nearby attractions such as the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum and the Garden of the Gods.<\/p>\n

“The Mining Exchange has been a Colorado icon since 1902,” Bashar Wali, founder and CEO of Practice Hospitality (the company currently managing The Mining Exchange), said in a statement<\/a>. “Now, some 120 years on, we are honoring that heritage by creating a hotel imbued with local touches and human connection that has earned the distinction of being the first Registry Collection hotel in the U.S. We’re proud to be joining a world-class portfolio of international hotels and adding Colorado Springs to the global roster of Registry Collection destinations.”<\/p>\n
