Selena Gomez<\/strong><\/a> is known for many things, such as her Emmy-nominated performance<\/a> role on Hulu\u2019s Only Murders in the Building<\/em> and her successful career as a pop star, and now she can add billionaire to the list.<\/p>\n

Gomez was ranked on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index for the very first time, which puts her current net worth at $1.3 billion, Bloomberg<\/a> reported on Friday, September 6. The outlet cited Gomez\u2019s many lucrative endeavors as an \u201cactress, singer and entrepreneur\u201d for helping her reach the impressive milestone.<\/p>\n

The \u201cLove On\u201d singer\u2019s company Rare Beauty Brands Inc. accounts for the \u201cvast bulk of Gomez\u2019s wealth,\u201d according to Bloomberg. But it\u2019s the musician\u2019s ability to diversify into avenues like brand partnerships and television producing roles (she\u2019ll produce this fall\u2019s Wizards of Waverly Place<\/em> reboot<\/a>) that will help prolong her success as a public figure.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg compared Gomez\u2019s financial success to that of her close friend Taylor Swift<\/strong>, who became a billionaire<\/a> almost exclusively from selling and touring her own music. While Gomez has embarked on tours in the past, she accrued wealth from a number of different avenues, including her brand Rare Beauty.<\/p>\n
