Maria Georgas<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out after promising that she had \u201csome things to say\u201d about the finale of Jenn Tran\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> season of The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHearing my name \u2026 I understand that Jenn had to speak up about it. Say your piece, girlfriend,\u201d Maria, 30, said in a Thursday, September 5, TikTok<\/a> video. \u201cBut I just think without the full context, it leads people to believe a whole different narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n Maria\u2019s name was brought up during the season 21 Bachelorette<\/em> finale when Jenn, 26, revealed that her ex-fianc\u00e9, Devin Strader<\/strong><\/a>, had followed the Canada native on Instagram<\/a> the day after he ended their engagement. Devin, 28, broke up with Jenn over the phone a month before their engagement episode aired on September 3.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYes, Devin followed me on Instagram,\u201d Maria confirmed. \u201cI don\u2019t pay attention to who follows me and who doesn\u2019t. I had no clue about that until people brought it to my attention. I didn\u2019t know. By the time I found out, he had unfollowed.\u201d<\/p>\n Maria made it clear that she has \u201cnever met Devin\u201d or \u201cwent clubbing\u201d with him, a reference to Jenn slamming her ex for going out in New York City with fellow\u00a0Bachelorette<\/em> contestant Jeremy Simon<\/strong> when she felt he should\u2019ve been mourning their split. \u201cDid I got out with Jeremy on a night with friends, a bunch of us together? Yes, I did, but Jeremy got sent home and they ended on amicable terms,\u201d Maria added. She also defended partying with Jenn\u2019s ex, adding, \u201cWhat do you think\u00a0Paradise\u00a0<\/em>is? It\u2019s everyones\u2019 exes \u2026 on a beach .. trying to mix and mingle. I\u201dm not going on Paradise<\/em>, so I\u2019m doing this s\u2013t in real life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She also pointed out that she \u201cnever followed\u201d Devin back on Instagram. \u201cseeing how things transpired, I never will follow that man. And people knew that. So the fact that this whole thing has come out now and the story has changed is beyond me. I had nothing to do with the ending of the relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n Prior to posting the TikTok, Maria wrote on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, September 4, \u201cJust got back from a peaceful trip. This was not something I wanted to come back home to but I have some things to say<\/a> [and] I won\u2019t be holding back this time.\u201d She eventually deleted her post, but fans have anxiously been waiting for her to speak more on the subject.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Maria and Jenn both starred on season 28 of The Bachelor<\/em> and were contenders to become the lead for The Bachelorette<\/em>. On an episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast in May, Maria insisted, \u201cIt was set in stone<\/a>. I was [the Bachelorette].\u201d She also revealed that she began doing fittings before she eventually decided to turn down the gig because it became \u201coverwhelming.\u201d Jenn was announced as the leading lady during the March 26 finale of The Bachelor and received public support from Maria.<\/span><\/p>\n Put it to REST. <\/p>\n \u266c original sound \u2013 Maria Georgas<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/blockquote>\n However, in June, Jenn made her debut on \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d and said that the \u201cnarrative\u201d surrounding her Bachelorette<\/em> casting was false. \u201cThis show has been going on for years and years \u2013 21 years of this show specifically \u2013 and every season there are multiple people in contention for the role,\u201d she said. \u201cMultiple people are doing interviews or doing fittings or filming intro packages. And it\u2019s never really you until it\u2019s you. That\u2019s why I was a little disappointed. The narratives out there aren\u2019t exactly true<\/a>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Maria reportedly unfollowed Jenn<\/a> on Instagram after the interview.<\/span><\/p>\n While confronting Devin about following Maria and other girls on Instagram right after their breakup, the physician assistant student said, \u201cNot only is that so disrespectful to anything we shared together, I just don\u2019t understand why you would do something like that.\u201d She also called him out for not keeping the promises that he made her on the show and told the audience that he started becoming distant \u201calmost immediately\u201d after filming ended.<\/span><\/p>\n Jenn was in tears throughout the live discussion, but one day later, she had a smile on her face as a new cast member on season 33 of Dancing With the Stars. Still, the breakup and face-to-face confrontation were fresh. When asked what she would say to Devin now that the show is over, Jenn had two simple words<\/a>: \u201cF\u2013k you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n However, in a separate September 4 interview, she added, \u201cI just needed to get that off my chest and start a clean slate and move on with my life. It\u2019s kind of just been off-and-on and what not [with Devin]. So it was nice to kind of get the closure that I needed last night.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n
