Even Jesse Palmer<\/strong><\/a> didn\u2019t see Jenn Tran<\/strong>\u2019s love story with Devin Strader<\/strong> ending in heartbreak.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I found out, I felt a lot of emotions. I was sad. I was heartbroken for Jenn,\u201d Jesse, 45, said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> published on Thursday, September 5. \u201cI was confused. I never anticipated this happening considering everything that I saw happen between the two of them in Hawaii.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> finale, which aired on Tuesday, September 3, fans learned that Jenn, 26, and Devin, 28, called off their engagement shortly after she proposed to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople in the audience were shocked, as I\u2019m sure people were at home watching,\u201d Jesse reflected. \u201cWe had never seen Jenn so emotional, and as difficult as that must have been for her to recount, she showed incredible strength and bravery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Jesse doesn\u2019t think Devin has properly addressed \u201cwhy things ended, or what changed\u201d between him and Jenn. When the proposal was shown during the episode, Jenn was seen getting teary-eyed<\/a> while sitting next to Devin. While Jesse admitted it was \u201chard\u201d to watch Jenn in that moment, he\u2019s proud of how she handled it.<\/p>\n

Following her season, Jenn was announced as one of the celebrities competing for the mirrorball on Dancing With the Stars<\/em> season 33. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>, Jenn shared that she wasn\u2019t surprised by Devin\u2019s casual nature at After the Final Rose.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s kind of just been the way he\u2019s been after the breakup,\u201d Jenn told Us<\/em> on Wednesday, September 4. \u201cI was not expecting anything different. He hadn\u2019t been responding to my calls and whatnot, so I didn\u2019t think that he was gonna be emotional.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenn added that she \u201cknew\u201d her proposal to Devin was going to air going into After the Final Rose<\/em> and she wanted her ex-fianc\u00e9 to watch back the moment.<\/p>\n
