\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Sade Adu<\/strong><\/a> is returning to the music scene at last.<\/p>\n The 65-year-old music icon is set to contribute to a new compilation called Transa<\/em><\/strong>, produced by Red Hot in support of the transgender and nonbinary communities, with a song called \u201cYoung Lion,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> dedicated to her trans son Izaak<\/strong><\/a> and his journey.<\/p>\n \u201cYou must have felt so alone, I should have known,\u201d Sade<\/strong> reportedly sings on the track via Dazed<\/a>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s amazing to hear a legendary musician like Sade<\/strong> sing about her heartfelt experience as the parent of a trans child,\u201d says album co-producer Massima Bell<\/strong>. \u201cIt\u2019s incredibly powerful.\u201d<\/p>\n The album, out November 20, is reported to feature over 100 artists across 46 tracks and eight chapters, which is a nod to the eight stripes on the Pride flag. Sam Smith<\/strong><\/a>, Andr\u00e9 3000<\/strong><\/a> and many more artists will be featured on the compilation.<\/p>\n Red Hot was originally founded back in 1989 amid the AIDS epidemic, releasing the Red Hot + Blue compilation album with acts like Annie Lennox<\/strong><\/a> and U2<\/strong><\/a>, selling over a million copies worldwide and raising over $1 million for AIDS charity ACT UP.<\/p>\n Red Hot executive director Dust Reid<\/strong> says Transa<\/em> was inspired by the tragic death of SOPHIE<\/strong><\/a> in 2021, and the compilation celebrates the \u201cgifts that trans people have been giving to the world. We hoped to create a narrative that positions trans and non-binary people as leaders in our society insofar as the deep inner work they do to affirm who they are in our current climate.\u201d<\/p>\n Sade<\/strong>\u2018s last release was 2018\u2032s \u201cFlowers of the Universe\u201d for A Wrinkle in Time<\/em>.<\/p>\n Izaak<\/strong> also shared a heartfelt note dedicated to his mother Sade<\/strong> amid gender reassignment surgery.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
